The room/hotel had just been refurbished. My husband and I got 2 full/queens beds and we took our Belgian mali with us. They charged $25 for a dog deposit, which was fine and understandable. The room was very clean, the beds were extremely comfortable. Free breakfast, meh. I was there before 9 am and there was nothing left. I did make myself a waffle though which was very good. No butter, but there was syrup. O

This room was advertised as "accessible" and showed pictures of a new walk-in tub/shower for the room I had chose. However, when I got there, it was just an old plain tub with handicap handles. I just had knee replacement (week before) and was barely mobile and couldn't take a shower because I couldn't get into the TUB. When I checked out and mentioned it to your morning staff, he was like ... "meh, sorry." Well don't hurt yourself giving a crap. I really shouldn't go to these cheaper places, but I'm not made of money, and they aren't really that bad.

It was the night attendant that made this stay so memorable! (I arrived at 1:00 AM, exhausted)! He was absolutely wonderful! When I was signing in and couldn't think of my license number, he excused it and had me write the car's make, etc. When he gave directions to my room and I said I didn't feel like driving any more, he said I could also walk and personally escorted me to it. Honestly, I am a senior and had just had my trip on Amtrack delayed over five hours. I was to arrive in Rutland before 8:00 PM but got there at 1:00 AM. This man was a Godsend. I simply cannot say enough about him! Thank you for having such an empathetic, kind employee. MAKE SURE HE HEARS ABOUT HOW HIS WONDERFUL SERVICE WAS SO APPRECIATED!!

Nothing, really. I knew for the money it would not be a luxury hotel. But the one thing this place does have that you do not see in a high-end hotel are employees that are down to earth and absolutely unpretentious! They appear to be immigrants, although I cannot say for sure and (here, at least) they were very welcoming.

Great location, very adequate rooms that met our needs. Price point was very good through Booking.com. The Beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were fine although there was standing water in the tub during showering due to a plugged drain. The rooms do have a refrigerator and microwave. There is a large indoor swimming pool and Sauna that is for use and they are quite nice...Have been staying at this Motel for the past 30 years but with a 12 year break since the last visit. The Motel was originally a "Howard Johnsons" and then a "Red Roof", now it is under the Wyndham Brand. The Motel is now under new private ownership and they are working to renovate each room and it is going well. However, it is not quite up to the better standards as it was 30 years ago (the Building needs a lot of outside and inside detail work still due to age) but good to see that they are putting new life into it and that the property hasn't closed.

The new LED type lighting fixtures in the rooms don't provide enough light. Even with all lights illuminated there is still a sense of considerable darkness within the room. This lighting issue is also within the hallways...Dark. The Free Breakfast offered was VERY minimal but not a big issue for us since we didn't utilize it.

The room was totally re-done with bare floors and tiles. The bed was very comfortable and everything was super clean. The room heat/AC unit was loud, but we just turned it off. The staff was super nice and they told us they were re-doing the whole building. They haven't gotten to the outside yet or the hall carpets, but the newly done room met our needs and smelled clean and fresh. This owner is trying to improve things and doing a great job so far. It was also very quiet at night even though the place was full.

There is some construction debris around the entrance in the back, but that is because they are working.

We enjoyed the location. It was very close to the area that we were visiting.

The bathroom clearly needed more attention. The toilet seat was very loose, it had hair on the back of the seat and the crevices of the seat cover were dirty. The bathroom mirror looked bad. You could see where only part of it was cleaned and the rest had a film on it. The bathroom corners had a build up of dirt.

Breakfast is very simple. there is no cooking, like scramble egg or sausage, at all. Waffle machine is down and the staff dose not seem know how to fix it. But, TV programs are really good and it covers almost all the major channels. Front desk staff, especially an lady, are very professional and caring.

There wasn't anything I did not like - it was a very pleasant stay. What I was impressed by was when I arrived (at 11am after driving all night), I was worried I would have to wait until check-in time to get a room, and all I could think about was sleeping. The owner got me into a room in 10 minutes after arriving!

They were good about getting us two additional pillows. I checked out at 4am and there was someone available immediately. great place just for the overnight stay. they seem to be doing renovations or something as there was a lot of equipment outside.

could have been cleaner, wasn't any frills. but it is what you would expect from a place like this and I appreciate them being there.

room was nice, bed was comfortable, fridge and microwave in room worked fine. the bathroom is small but everything in it worked correctly. good pressure for shower. breakfast is very basic. coffee, juice, yogurt, waffle maker, bread for toast and only one fruit option.

There were a couple dogs barking for a long time down the hall from us. my husband informed the front desk but the dogs kept barking. fortunately, it didn't happen during the night.
