Interesting historic building. Location- easy to find. Nice town to walk around & explore. Bed was comfortable- although, weirdly- very tall (seriously, very high off the floor). Bathroom & shower were particularly well done. Windows open - with screens- which I like, for fresh air. Walking distance to shops & restaurants. The diner - Dot’s - was great. I really enjoyed the rocking chairs on the upstairs front porch - carried my cooler out there & had my dinner there.

If you’re a light sleeper - the traffic outside is tough. Heavy trucks roll through town during the night-passing right by the Inn. They hit some kind of strip in the road right in front of the inn , & it shakes the whole building- at least on the side I was sleeping on-& I was even on the 3rd floor. Not the Inn’s fault but it’s a lot. Plus: Light flashing on the heating unit (on the wall above the head of the bed!) -& a buzzing from I couldn’t figure out what (the maid’s closet on other side of wall??)- all night long.

Lovely comfy rooms, beautifully decorated, impeccably clean in a wonderful old building.

From arrival to departure I never saw a single member of staff, noone to ask for dinner recommendations on arrival. The front door required an entry code which I was never given. We had 2 rooms, and luckily we were able to go in with other guests. My travel companion eventually, later in the evening received an sms with the code but I never received anything.Why this could not be communicated via the app or an email prior to arrival is a mystery.

Perfect location for walking to shops and restaurants. Also, next door to the bookstore which we loved. The room decor was very good. Tasteful, clean, a nice mix of modern & rustic cottage comfort. Plenty of hangers and storage for clothing. Nice bathroom.

The twin beds were squeaky…..comfortable mattresses, though. The mini fridge in our room could’ve been cooler, too.

The room was very nice, with a very comfortable bed. It was also very nice to be able to walk two places such as restaurants.

Part of staying right in town is the town traffic, which was to be expected. After about 830 at night things quieted down quite a bit though. It did take a while for the water to warm up for a shower.

understandably, it’s an old house on a busy road but it is very loud. depending on the type of vehicle passing the whole house shook at times. we were also in a room facing the street. would love to see them do something with the bar in the lobby area one day!

Really enjoyed this town, we were at walking distance to 4 different restaurants and got a chance to chat with guests from different rooms which they also agreed how cozy and clean this place was!!! I would definitely stay again!!

Can't think of anything major. Maybe a TV with better resolution.

Beautiful building, beautiful, clean room, wonderful location.

It seems like the trend is to self check in and you allow yourself into your room. Sounds fair enough, but I am really beginning to miss people and the front desk! Staff can greatly enhance a stay and help reflect the essence of a hotel. Our room was front of building, first floor. Outside there were people who sat next to the windows of our room and talked until the wee hours of the morning.

Location was great - central to and walking to restaurants etc close to ski areas. Hotel was very clean and well kept - with modern bathroom. Checkin by text and great communication with off site staff.

Parking was just across the street but a bit hard to find at night - easy to unload and load infront of hotel.

This is a beautiful house, stylishly renovated, and very comfortable.

NO STAFF!!!! We were not sent the access code so we were lucky to get in at all, courtesy of other guests. There was no-one to let us in and we never saw a member of staff at all. A minus also: no breakfast.

Very much keeping to the colonial and historical feel of the era it was established. Interesting history of the hotel and town. Great central location with all that was needed on the doorstep. Staff were very good and very spacious room

Air conditioner in the room was too fierce for the one bed with vents on the lower wall next to the bed and one directly above the bed. If we were to stay again would insist on another room.
