Charlie & Megan were absolutely amazing. Super friendly, gave us fresh cookies when we arrived, made breakfast earlier than we had scheduled, shared a route for us to drive for the day, helped us with our bags and were very personable and nice. Lori was a wonderful server and we had a great time visiting with her. She shared stories, suggested places for us to see & brought honey water to my mom who had a sore throat. I would come back to this place in a heartbeat. Anyone traveling through Wilmington should stay here. Breakfast was delicious. I had the apple cinnamon pancake, egg, sausage & English muffin with homemade peach jam & my mom had French toast. The room was perfect & super cute. Extremely reasonable price.

Love the staff! Friendly, personable, helpful. Also, the common room with jigsaw puzzle station and fireplace, free local cookies and a bar. Great location and super cozy. Loved the fireplace and ambiance of icicles outside the window! Delicious made-to-order breakfast was unexpected and awesome.

Overall I would say it was fantastic, but what could be improved were 1) carpet didn’t seem super clean; 2) sliding door to bathroom very hard to slide open and closed; 3) fridge randomly in corner was odd; 4) “lock” on door was incredibly flimsy and could have been picked easily.

Plentiful off-road parking. Breakfast was cooked to order from a set menu with plenty of choice and quality local produce. The hosts would provide an alternative if possible. As long distance travellers, we appreciated the offer to use the laundry facilities. The hosts took an appropriate level of interest in their guests and invited us to join the fire pit circle. Charlie and Megan provided suggestions for activities during our stay and dining options in the town. Although the room was not serviced daily, items such as towels and toiletries were available on request. In the afternoon freshly baked cookies and cakes were available for guests. We were free to make use of the Inn’s garden and deck at any time of the day.

Perfect. Charlie and Meghan are wonderful people. Breakfast was really good. The big room on the first floor is a great place to relax with a puzzle or a game. Charlie made sure there was a nice fire going. There is a bar in the lobby and you can take a drink in the next room and relax. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Also, very easy to walk into town for restaurants, etc.

We loved everything. The Inn is pristine, extremely well taken care of. The garden, the lobby, bar, breakfast room and our room were beautiful and decorated with taste. The welcome was warm. The owners were charming, they love what they do. Easy parking. Several good restaurants and a nice trail in walking distance. Breakfast was homemade.

Maybe some fresh fruit with the breakfast would have been nice.

Big cozy house sitting on a hill overlooking the village rich with history. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. They made us feel right at home also helped us with recommendations for dinner in the area.

The hot tub spa. If your using the hot tub, which only fits one person comfortably, at the same time as others in the inn, the hot water will run out leaving you in a Luke warm pool. Your also asked not to use the jets after 9:30 pm which cuts short romantic hot tub time with your partner.

The hosts were amazing, they contacted you right away, gave great details, Charlie even waited for our late arrival before going home! He took the time to show us our room, let us hang out in the lobby for a bit enjoying a drink and the puzzle. Breakfast was out of this world as well!!!

There was nothing we did not enjoy

We have stayed at The Wilmington Inn before and will not hesitate to stay there again. Charlie and Megan are delightful and efficient innkeepers and Megan always cooks up a tasty breakfast. The inn is "old world" and part of the charm that we seek in B & B's when we travel. We had the same room as before (The Wilmington Room) and the king-size bed is comfortable. Our first room (The Deerfield Room) had a leaky faucet that would have kept us away and Charlie, immediately, reassigned our room and Megan was out getting parts to replace the sink faucet that had, just, started leaking. Otherwise, the plumbing worked fine. This inn is an older home so you have to expect some little flaws but there is nothing that made our stay uncomfortable or unpleasant. It is an easy walk to downtown Wilmington. The stairway up to our room is heavily carpeted on slightly narrow steps so it could be a challenge to someone with any ambulatory difficulties.

No complaints. We got what we expected and at a fair price.

The Inn was super cozy, room was cozy, location was ideal---you can walk to restaurants and shops. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was superb! They went out of their way to make our stay special.
