The staff was helpful. They moved us to another room when our first room was messed up and the a c didn't work. After we left the first time I then lost my phone in King's Dominion, they helped me out by lowering the price a little bit because I had to stay another night. To retrieve my phone in the morning. They're good people. We'll be staying again in the near future.

The shower is nothing to write home about. And sometimes the TV remote, there was no signal, or it didn't work at all. Only 2 pillows per bed, I have a bad leg. So I have to prop my leg up at night. I couldn't do that. There's only 2 pillows. But they were busy. I understand.

The room was very clean and did not have a heavy odor of cleaning supplies. The linens and towels were also clean and soft. Pillows were very good. Parking was adequate for the number of guests. The TV and other appliances were very good and in working order.

Unfortunately, the shower gel dispenser in the bath was empty, but I had my own. Water pressure from the shower head was a bit weak. The spout had very good pressure. The road coming in was treacherous at night. Someone needs to invest in painting the center and side lines along the road. Years overdue.

Room was a great deal and clean and comfortable.

Checkin guy was sort of a jerk. I walked in to check in, he was eating. He was the only person in the room. He looked at me and didn't say anything and kept eating. No smile, no words, no nothing. Ok, no big. I had to use the bathroom so I went ahead and took care of that so he could finish eating. Once done, I walked out and the bathroom door isn't automatic closing and I didn't shut it all the way. "Can you shut that?" First thing I heard from the employee. I just got my key and went about my way. Maybe he was having a bad day. Checkout was no different. No verbal communication. No thanks. Two things RR can do. 1. Talk to this guy about customer service. 2. Install an automatic closing door in the bathroom at check in area.

Love the accommodating staff and locality to Kings Dominion and LA Herrera Mexican Restaurant! The room was spacious, lovely hard floors so no icky carpet! Kitchenette was so convenient, just be sure to bring cookware! The water was super hot and great water pressure. I also love the style of the rooms, as all have access to outside rather than rooms off a main indoor corridor. I will definitely be staying here again.

Location and price not likely to be beat. I wasn't there for Kings Dominion but it sure would be convenient if I was. Surprised at how quiet it was despite being right next to the park. Easy location to access and park etc. Staff was friendly/polite and did their job efficiently. Right next to a Mexican restaurant... expensive (but reasonable for the area).

It's obviously a dated building. There's only so much you can do to spruce up the place, including the rooms. There is a pool that is obviously closed (I haven't looked into whether it is a Days Inn amenity or Red Roof Inn but not sure why they wouldn't have it open still.

The hotel was close to kings dominion so it worked out great. The lady that checked me in was super nice and tried everything she possibly could to fix the problem.

I had asked for adjoining rooms if possible and if not then rooms next to each other. The one room had a door that was adjoined to the next room, but they didn't give me that room. Instead I was given the room on the opposite side. The adjoining room was available but she said she couldn't switch it because I had went through booking. Com. If the room wasn't available then that would have been different. But when it was available then booking.com should allow the hotel to make those changes. So my dissatisfaction is with booking.com not the hotel or staff.

This place has really came along way we had 2 rooms the king room was in excellent condition brand new mattress very clean and comfy. The microwave and fridge worked great a very big fridge . My other room my sons had was clean and comfy but the microwave didnt work and the sink leaked . We didnt make a fuss about it but told them when we left , the staff was extremely friendly and we love the 5 min walk to the park .

No pool yet thank goodness we had kings dominion pool because it was soo hot , but you can tell its being renovated and it will look good once its all done.

The hotel was convenient to king's dominion. The property was well lit on the outside. There's a restaurant within walking distance from the hotel, which is a plus.

The bathrooms need to be updated. The joining room door paint was coming off the doors. There was hair in the shower. As well as minor details that needed attention.

This was a last minute booking, as we were traveling as I was sick. Very pleased with the price and quality of this location. Great for a family trip, or alone. One of the cheapest rooms I’ve stayed in, but it was actually nice. Believe the other good reviews. Room was very clean and updated, bed was comfortable. Will be staying here again.

Everything was comfortable and nice. I was confused when I first pulled up. I got out car and that’s when I saw small signs directing me to the back. Once I got back in the car and drove around—-that’s when it clicked that Red Roof office was on the “BACK” side. Luckily, my room was right there too!
