This hotel has recently been refurbished and is in really nice shape. We had a small problem in the bathroom and since it was late, maintenance people weren't around. The gentleman at the front desk came to our room and was able to fix the issue. He certainly went above and beyond his position and I thank him for wonderful customer service. Have to say, Best Western has one of the most affordable pet fees. This was also really appreciated. I find Best Westerns to always deliver for overnight stays. This one definitely did not disappoint. Also - good location with food choices near by.

The breakfast was just okay.

Breakfast was great, the beds were comfortable, within walking distance to Kings Dominion (mind you, it’s not a super SHORT walk but we managed just fine), clean room and hotel. A lot of people on here complained about restaurant options not being close by…there was a Burger King across the street HOWEVER just TEN minutes down the road, there’s tons of food options (chick fil a, McDonald’s, apple bees, Walmart…just to name a very few)!!

Pool area smaller than I expected however it wasn’t terrible, elevators were broken (not their fault, just what it is)…we were put on the 2nd floor right in front of the door of the stairwell so it was a little louder/more traffic…at night we turned on the sound machine we brought and it drowned that noise out quickly.

Came from KD across the street. The room was decent for the price, and the staff was hospitable and very kind. The front desk lady was sweet. She needs a raise in my opinion. The AC ran nice and cold, it was a comfy bed but hard pillows. Overall, it was a very good visit! Thank you, Best Western. If you're not a Karen and you're traveling on a budget, this place is amazing.

Found bugs in my room, toothpicks and trash on the floor, dirty AC vents, and the shower made a loud screeching noise. Thin walls.

Very clean. Staff was friendly. Extremely convenient location as we went to Kings Dominion. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was a bigger size than most hotels. I saw on a previous review somewhere that the hot water ran out quickly. That was not our experience. The hot water ran nice and hot for a long time.

The only thing we disliked were the pillows. One wasn't enough. Two were too much. They just didn't have the comfortable factor for us. However, that's only a matter of our opinion. Do NOT let it deter you from staying at this hotel.

Location was excellent for our family trip to King’s Dominion. The staff (especially the night staff) were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent and everything, including the pool was clean and orderly.

Only complaint would be that our towel rack wasn’t installed properly. The availability of night food options in the area wasn’t great but that in no way is a reflection of the hotel.

It was a completely unexpected surprise to see the exact Jimmy Dean croissant breakfast sandwiches I eat at home part of the breakfast grab & go options. Your renovations on the property make it like brand new. Very impressed!

Thermostat-controlled air conditioning would be a nice improvement - rather than the in-the-wall unit alone. Having an active fan in the bathroom is preferred over just passive ventilation. Maybe I just missed the switch.

Easy on and off Interstate. Room was on first floor. Easy in and out with my dog. Room was clean and size was nice. I believe newly remodeled.

I got charged twice for my room. Once through Hotel Bookings.com and once by the hotel receptionist. I was told she was charging an extra $20 for my dog, but also billed me for the room.

We liked the room. We were happy that the refrigerator had a small freezer section so that we cold refreeze our icepacks for our coolers. The beds were extremely comfortable. The breakfast was great with bacon and eggs.

The only thing I didn't like was that the tub was slippery; you had to be very careful turning around while showering so that you wouldn't slip and fall.

I like how close we are to Kings Dominion. Check in was great and the breakfast was pretty good!

My son got sick and we had to leave a day early. I was told that the manager would be in contact with me about this situation. and I have not heard anything. Not sure if they just forgot or if they were busy.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff who welcomed us for check in was very friendly and accommodating. We also really enjoyed the free breakfast, there were a lot of options and variety of items.

It was a bit more than we could spend on a regular basis. With a lower price point, we would definitely come down for a visit more often!
