Clean hotel with indoor swimming pool. Staff was very nice. Comfortable beds and good continental breakfast every morning. They accomodated us nicely on very short notice so we will definitely stay again.

Not really a con but due to sickness, they only had one housekeeper working so we had to ask for fresh towels each day. This was out of their control so I don't fault the hotel employees on this. I'm sure they do an excellent job when fully staffed. The hotel employees quickly helped us any time we asked for some.

Quiet, I didn't see a single person. Tons of USB C charging ports. I counted at least 7. The TV was very nice. The showers were excellent. The staff was great as well.

They cut corners on the pillows, literally the pillows were just small squares. The room was very hot and took a long time to cool down. In the morning, the breakfast options were awful. I just ended up getting breakfast someplace else.

The staff were polite and professional. The pillows and bath towels were very nice. Room was clean and breakfast was good.

Room was on the smaller size. The heater in room did not seem like it was working very well. Our key card kept messing up leaving us locked out but the staff was very helpful in assisting with this.

I did not eat breakfast at the hotel. I usually plan ahead and bring a protein shake for breakfast when I travel.

In terms of breakfast, there were very few sugar free/ healthy options. Otherwise, I was extremely disappointed to find there were no lounge chairs around the pool. The pool area was so spacious and clean, but there were no lounge chairs to relax and soak up the rays. Disappointed because I selected this hotel, particularly because it was the only one I could find with an outdoor pool.

The Wingate at Claytor Lake is clean,comfortable, the staff is awesome. The lady that works mornings is redhead she is the hardest worker ever! The electric went of for 16plus hours they still maintained an awesome professional safe stay!! Thank you Wingate 😊

The sausage was undercooked and had powdered eggs. The coffee wasn’t good. Had a hard time finding the ice machine. Beds were very comfortable. The fan in the bathroom was too loud. The light on the desktop didn’t work.

Convenient and budget friendly! Close to ClaytorLake and dam. Nearby restaurants, gas stations, and ice-cream. Indoor heated pool and fresh breakfast 😋 Minutes from grocery stores.

Elevator was a little slow

The front desk night manager was phenomenal. He helped get us situated when we had a smoke smell issue in our first room. He immediately helped us move to another room! Beds were comfy and it was clean!!

Considering changes from Sleep Inn to Wingate, the Staff was excellent!! Hoping for a discounted offer to stay once the change from Sleep Inn Wingate At Wyndom is complete : )

Housekeeping - was short staffed - cleaning could have been a bit better - but again, being short staffed, they did what they could.

It was surprisingly clean. I figured I was gonna have to deal with a mediocre room when, in fact, it was very clean and the air was comfortable. Great room for the value
