Breakfast was amazing. Great selection and the Staff were super friendly. Room was clean and overall the beds were comfortable. The TV worked perfectly, and the room was very quiet. There was no issues with outside noise or noise in the hallways.

Check in was supposed to be at 4:00. We got to the desk around 4:15 to 4:30 and there wasn't a room ready. We were asked to take a seat in the lounge while the front desk awaited word the room had been inspected. Waited another 15-30 minutes with no one providing an update. I went up to the desk, had someone in front of me get the same type of room we were waiting for, and then received the room key. Would have appreciated being notified the room was ready (He already had the key ready at the desk) so we could have gotten to our room.

Bathroom sink in room 3106 needs drain cleaner! Walls or connecting door must be thin - we heard neighbor’s bed squeaking and/or hitting the wall multiple times 😳, could also hear noises. Strange smell when we entered building 3 - could’ve very well been someone’s smoking something?! It was just in the first hall we walked down. A little much to have to walk from main building to another (outside, but covered) building to get to room, but also kindof cool for a change. But of a “dog smell” outside along the way. Room was very nice, but not sure the mattress was comfortable (we stayed only one night) and pillows (4 per bed!) are super heavy and smushy. AC was a little loud (but nice white noise - see above LOL).

the pool indoor and outdoor was nice, the quietness of the place. I also liked how friendly the staff was. The rooms felt very spacious and open. The shower was extremely nice and big. I loved the fact that we could park right by our room and didn't have a very far walk to get into the hotel.

the only thing I did not like was that it said the outdoor pool would be open until 10 PM but it was closed by 7, which made my daughter upset, lol. But other than that, it was a nice quiet stay.

We tried ordering room service but there was not much information online, the website looked to be outdated for the room service section, and the phone number for it did not work. We called the restaurant directly (also difficult to find a phone number for), and they told us that there was none for that holiday weekend. Understandable, but would have been nice if it was posted somewhere.

I liked the old school look and feel of the property. Beautiful landscape. It must be a lot of upkeep. Close to foods and our concert venue too.

Our first time staying at one so coming in the main door into another door confused us for a minute. There wasn’t a sign directing you to open it and a stairwell directly to your left. I wondered if we open the door or go up the steps lol. We figured it out.

It was the perfect escape. The breakfast was incredible and the room was comfortable. Lots of space to just relax and explore. The Spa was THE BEST!

We came a few weeks before Memorial Day so it was a little disappointing the shuttle to the beach wasn’t available. They only provided decaf tea in our rooms which wasn’t interesting. It would be nice to have access to a little tea or coffee spot on the main floor all day instead of having to rely on the opening hours of the restaurant.

The location was great, close to everything. We loved the pond, the ducks, geese, turtles, and fish. Breakfast was good and we absolutely loved our server Emily…she’s a treasure!

The walls are thin and heard the neighbors one morning , so I had to turn on the television because my child was waking.

We stayed here for the third time, and it won't be our last. The grounds are gorgeous (it is a popular wedding location for good reason), the rooms are very comfortable, the staff is friendly, and the amenities are enjoyable (indoor and outdoor pools, fitness studio, spa). Free parking and a good location between Virginia Beach and Norfolk make day excursions uncomplicated and convenient. I can't understand the negative reviews. Perhaps people see the name 'Hilton' behind the hotel and have absurd expectations. No, it isn't perfect, but let's say 90% and at a price that you can't argue with.

The building is clearly older, which gives the hotel a lot of charm. But it also means that not everything is state-of-the-art.

I was not aware that the property had several different buildings. It didn’t make it clear on the website. I booked 2 rooms at once and we were not in the same building. This made it difficult to enjoy my family

room location and settings to welcome you with my dog and the facilities restaurant , park and pools to use. Best of it the shuttle service from the hotel to th e beach so no need to worry about parking fees by the boardwalk and enjoy the beach with no stress
