I love staying at the cap sante Inn. The rooms are large and very clean. The best part is that it's so close to everything. Lots of restaurants and antique shops within walking distance. The Marina is right next door, which is very pretty. A Safeway a block away. The calico cupboard on the other side of the parking lot has the best eggs Benedict. I staid there for ten nights and never ran out of resteraunts. The ferry terminal to the San jauns and Friday harbor is only a short drive. I saw seals while on the ferry. And the scenery from the ferry is beautiful. Also there is also a very small ferry that goes to Guemes island. It's a beautiful place with the best sandy beach to walk on. And I also went to sunset Beach, it's a great place to look for shells and tide pools. It's also a short drive from the cap sante inn. And of course the people that work at the motel are very nice and will help you with anything you need. I was there for ten days and never ran out of fun stuff to do.

I liked everything

This is everything I could have asked for in a hotel in Anacortes. It's only a block to the major bus stop in downtown that serves both bus routes: to Washington State Ferries / connections going east, and the local circulator route. It is only a block to several restaurants, and only a block from the Anacortes Arts Fair. It is only a 15 minute walk to the top of Cap Sante Viewpoint (see city photo #2 for view of city from this viewpoint). Everything inside was clean and well maintained, and there were a variety of soaps offered. The refrigerator is somewhat larger than many hotel rooms offer - not a full size one, but perhaps half size. The table makes a good meal or work surface. There are USB outlets built into at least one table lamp, as well as one outlet power adapter. The outlet power adapter has a neat little lip on it that is very useful when it comes to charging portable backup batteries (see photo 3). The people were all very helpful and allowed me to store luggage for a time between checkout and when I needed to catch a bus to Mount Vernon.

I think it is important to understand that a large number of hotels in this part of the world do not have air conditioning. This holds true for this hotel as well, and over the last several years the city has gotten warm enough that summer temperatures might demand air conditioning. It does cool off nicely at night with a window open at the front and back of the room, and the provided fan running. I'm from the northwest, so understand the problem, but travelers that are not used to rooms without air conditioning may want to try to find somewhere else if they come to Anacortes in the peak summer months.

We stayed in the Annex, across the side street from the main motel. No elevators. No A/C, but there was a fan in the room. It was comfortable enough without using it. Extra sink and mirror in the room. Desk, table and two chairs (yeay!), comfortable beds. No breakfast, but across the parking lot is a great breakfast restaurant, the Calico Cupboard. Two blocks from the Safeway with a huge deli department. We bought supper there and brought it back to the room to eat.

Parking at the Annex is tight and awkward. Easy to pull in and park, but no way to turn around and difficult to back up. The lot next door belongs to the Calico Cupboard restaurant.

I especially like how it's so close to stores, restaurants, and bus stops.

they really need to put coffee pots in the rooms. the office doesn't open until 9:30, so you can't get coffee until then. I saw other people going to the office to get coffee before 9:30 and they were upset . also the young guy that worked in the office wasn't friendly.

This motel is older…but had everything we needed. Friendly and helpful staff. The room was cozy and comfortable and clean. And great location. We were travelling with our pup (love that the motel is dog friendly) and there’s an off leash dog park across the street …and you’re also right close to the sea wall walk and rotary park. There was also convenient parking in front of our room.

Honestly, nothing. I’d definitely stay there again!

The motel was just a block off the main drag where all of the restaurants and shops are in town, so really in a great spot to explore from on foot. It was pretty clean, comfortable, quiet, and had everything we needed. The water pressure in the shower was really strong and the water got hot quickly, which was a dream after a big day of traveling. Also, the staff at check in could not have been nicer.

This is definitely an older motel, but the pictures show it accurately. There’s no A/C (I’d imagine they don’t need it much), but they provided a box fan to cool our room down on a warm night.

Clean, beautiful location near the marina and close to grocery store. Great " walking" area. There are 2 older but extremely well maintained buildings . Very clean! The windows could be opened for fresh air and the breezes off the salt water. The woman who checked us in was friendly, informative about local places, history and things to do. The only negative was no coffee maker in the room. There's coffee in the office and we just went and bought cold brew from the grocery for morning. It's going to be a "go to" for us when in Anacortes. ❤️

No Coffee maker in the room

Great location for my needs - a stopping ground while visiting the San Juan Islands. It was very quiet. The bed was very comfortable. I liked that there were many restaurants to choose from just down the street.

The only critique is that the toilet is very low to the ground, so it would be difficult to use for anyone who can't easily squat down that far.

I love the location. Everything walkable from the hotel, and transit nearby as well. Staff was very accommodating, getting me into a comfortable spot on the property. Wi-Fi has improved in annex building!

Now that R Street is back open, I noticed much more traffic noise, although I realize this can't be helped.

The location was perfect. I was able to walk to most of the places I wanted to go to. And the bus stop was right by the motel. The breakfast was good enough for me because I don't eat much in the morning and the coffee was great. The let me move to a nicer view room after two days and didn't charge more. The people that works there were super nice. I would have staid forever if I could have.

I really can't think of anything
