The lobby is beautiful and very comfortable and inviting. A social setting with wonderful glass art and sculptures. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and it had a very comfortable and pleasant restaurant and bar. My room was very spacious and had a wonderful view of Tacoma. Very comfortable room. Breakfast was really good for a hotel breakfast that is self serve and it was served in a room with big windows with a fantastic view of Tacoma. It was located near all of the attractions I wanted to see and close enough to the Amtrak train station for me to walk there and near all of the museums and Puget sound.

My room and bathroom were not as clean as I would like. It was clean on the surface, however, if I looked closely there were overlooked areas.

The location - right across the street from the convention center. Room was clean. Bed was comfy. The bathroom was smaller than the one we had last year, but the view of the Tacoma Dome and the rest of the city more than made up for it. Food was top-notch. Made room for the steak dinner this year; it was aces beginning to end. Breakfast was premium quality. The staff were courteous and professional with no signs of stress or duress.

Broken glass fixture in one of the elevators had been there since last year, maybe earlier than that. Unsightly, but not a deal breaker - could chalk it up to being part of the art. Still rate it a 10.

This hotel hit all the right notes for our dragon boat weekend. Just a short walk to the docks and surrounded by charming antique shops, museums, and restaurant. The room itself? Spotless, quiet, view of the city, and home to the most insanely comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. I’ve actually considered calling to ask what brand it was—yes, it was that good! The staff went the extra mile, reaching out via text before our arrival to make sure we had everything we needed and answered questions quickly. Check-in and checkout were smooth, and although parking came with an extra fee, they graciously let us leave the car after checkout so we could enjoy the rest of the dragon boat festival stress-free. Top-tier comfort, and a location that made everything easy—this stay was a win from start to finish.

The hotel appeared to be an easy walk down to the water. Take care to find the right path.

Front desk service was knowledgeable and helpful. Room was clean.

The decor in the lobby, common areas and rooms is greatly in need of a makeover/replacement…it looks old and way past its prime. Carpets are very worn and buckling…creating tripping hazards. Lobby furniture past its useable life…looks old and ratty. Most lighting in our room didn’t work. Room decor needs upgrades as well. This is no longer the “go to” hotel in Tacoma.

How beautiful it was decorated for Christmas.

We were told we could pay 40 more for a 2 pm check out. I was having tremendous difficulty with insomnia for a while. I just seriously was so excited to try to get sleep without our 4 little dog's. Well my fiance went to the front desk and they told him no late check out. It even says on the website that you can pay more for late check out. By the time he came back to wake me I was extremely so tired and just completely thought we had late check out. I am really not happy with this kind of issue. Very much felt like it was the rudest thing ever

The hotel was in a convenient location to the highway and walkable to local shops, museums and the convention center. The staff was friendly and housekeeping very prompt. Enjoyed onsite garage/lot parking.

We had cold showers our second day, as the hot water seemed to have run out by 8:30am. One of the elevators was out of service a few times during our stay. There was no microwave in the room, nor on site, so leftovers from the restaurant were essentially wasted.

The room far exceeded my expectations. I've never had the pleasure of staying in such a fancy hotel! The staff who checked me in was friendly and helpful and the room was very quiet. The bed was wonderful after a very long day of traveling and the room was quite clean overall. The location was perfect as well. I had a really nice view of Mt. Rainier from my window!

I didn't realize that the parking was paid. On the positive side, the charge was taken out of the overall price, which was convenient.

GORGEOUS HOTEL. I loved everything about this property! The Club King was PERFECT. Amazing view, the bed was *phenomenal.* The snacks and breakfast in the lounge were simple but tasty. The experience with staff was above and beyond from check in to check out. Neighborhood was safe, clean, trendy, with food, grocery, and entertainment options nearby. Will DEFINITELY be staying here again!

Some traffic noise, but minimal, and to be expected considering the location in the middle of downtown.

The bed was Awesome, Quiet, no street noise, 16th flr ocean side. It was fun to have the art work different on each floor, if we had more time, we would have checked out all the floors. It was for sure a great night sleep.

The hotel was great, When booking it did not give an option of 2 bed for 2 people, I had to book it as for 4 people in 2 double beds. it worked out good, same price as for a couple in a king, but I wasn't sure if I could have paid less being that I didn't actually have 4 people. Maybe it is the booking.com site, but worth considering either way. a cup under the bathroom shelves scared my friend, the tv was off when we had left it on, thinking someone may have been in the room while we were away

We have stayed here before. Generally, my family loves it here, especially on the higher floors. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are always clean and cozy. The king room had plenty of space (we stayed in a suite before). The onsite restaurant has good food, and the staff is friendly and great with our kids.

The only criticism I have is that our particular room (2309) was right next to the elevator. I can't say that this woke me up (my 2 y/o daughter took care of that) but getting back to sleep was tricky with the constant noise that I can only attribute to our proximity to the elevators.
