So beautifully decorated with very comfortable rooms with a great view of the ocean. The family running it must have worked very hard to get it back in such great shape after the typhoon. Clean pool. Friendly staff. Meals available for purchase. I extended my initial stay twice!

I liked that it was far from town because it was peaceful but people that want more of a lively scene might find it too far out. There is a bus stop directly in front of the with buses every half hour to town and you can rent a scooter. There is also another good restaurant and some basic shops just a couple minutes walk away for other food or snacks.

Beach front - location away from town. Free bicycle available, and scooters rental at the property. Room was very spacious, cleaned daily, with very comfortable beds. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially the manager. Definitely a place to socialise and to bond with fellow backpackers, maybe less suitable for people seeking tranquility.

The pool wasn’t available - breakfast was limited - loud noise from the rooms next door and from people outside the room talking - also, you can hear the music playing throughout the day.

I was there a few weeks after the typhoon. The area was hit hard but they had managed well to make the hostel comfortable and nice again. The beach is still in bad shape but i assume that in some time they will rebuild that as well. Had a lovely time even though it was a different experience than it would have been pre typhoon. The staff was super nice and helpful, could book tours and a motorbike through them which made it even easier to explore the beauty of the island.

This homestay is truly a wonderful experience. The space is cozy, welcoming, and fully equipped with all the necessary amenities, making you feel right at home. The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are beautifully decorated, clean, and spacious, with a stunning view. This is definitely an ideal place to unwind and enjoy the peace and tranquility, surrounded by nature.

The staff was very helpful, and the overall vibe of the place was really great. For sure you can relax here. Also, it was really nice that there was a common place for guests to rest and chill while waiting for the transport (after the checkout).

There were no "don't disturb" signs. It could be useful If someone does not want its room to be entered and cleaned everyday.

I liked the pool and the reception girls guitar and singing and that someone was doing an art mural. I liked the hippy vibes and comfortable room. I loved that it has the beach across the road.

I liked everything but I feel the beach across the road could do with a bit more love maintenance and romance. Its a beautiful spot there and a definite draw card. My suggestion would be caretaking it by keeping it clean and a few solor fairy lights bit of paint just to make it super special Some mood lighting in the room maybe would be a bonus. X

Absolutely lovely family who own Woodstock, they could not have been more kind to myself and my daughter. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to escape the construction site that is currently Cat Ba Island! Woodstock is next to a beach and very chilled. Perfect for us but still only 10 mins bus ride in to Cat Ba town

Good place to stay if you want to be away from the town. Bus stop for the cheap local bus it just opposite, which is very convenient.

No top sheets on the beds, so you just have a blanket to cover. The AC unit did not heat the room, so it was quite cold over night.

Superb hostel, I loved it. Staff are super friendly & helpful; the rooms & pool are great. Binh’s next door is also great for a drink/darts/dinner. Beachfront hostel at a great price with breakfast included, ideal. (They also sorted me a lift into town and a bus to Sapa.)

The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Good place for back packers and great for climbers, could easily scooter to the two main crags and could hire scooters at woodstock :) lovely vibe at the place.
