The room itself was amazing for the price. Clean, large and well appointed with a smart TV. It was downstairs from the reception and I thought it would be a basement affair sans window but no it was OK, was fenestrated!

Unfortunately, the receptionist had been smoking in the basement lavatory just before I arrived. It smelt disgusting throughout. Later he played music on a speaker in the lobby from his phone and this annoyed me I could hear it in the room. Finally he sat sprawled on the couch in reception eating his dinner. It's a really bad look for what could be a very fancy hotel.

Tastefully decorated comfortable room with a good view over the city. Location in a quiet alley, yet walking distance (20min) into city centre.

The youngsters at reception were not very accommodating, playing video games non stop and turning rather sleepily to any requests... And don't expect a real balcony - (we found this to be misleading and not a correct advertisement in the booking details!): there is a 20cm railing in front of the window with some plants, but you cannot step onto it... Construction next door was quite noisy! (this is of course not the hotel's fault,but if you like to sleep in, this might not be the place for you for the next couple of months... ;) )

it was very noisy - the neighbors were arguing loudly after 10 pm, there might even have been a fight. the next day at 7 am construction work began.

The room is really nice with a lot of details and decor. You can open the whole window front (which is mentioned as a balcony) which is really nice. The bed is comfortable and the room gets cleaned every day if you wish. The neighbourhood is quiet.

The location is not the best, not so central, but okay. The staff does not speak English at all! (one of them tried, but it was really hard to comunicate). We also had the impression of not being very welcome. The other guests all were vietnamese (also in the reviews it seems like most of the guests are from Vietnam) and were treated totally different. One of the receptionists did not even great us when we passed him. The feelings were really not nice there. On our last day we had to leave the hotel at 4 am to catch a bus and we asked for a taxi. They told.us grab is not available in the morning so they booked a taxi for us and wanted way too much money for it. In the end we waited until 4:10 and no one came, so we got a grab (EASILY!!) for a third of the price.. we felt like they just wanted to rip us off.

Im not too fussy with things but the room could have been cleaner, the bathroom had stagnant water sitting in the toothbrush cup
