Exceptional Stay at Golden palm hotel My wife and I had an outstanding experience at Golden palm hotel. The rooms were incredibly spacious, very clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The view from our balcony was beautiful, adding to the overall charm of our stay. The host was exceptionally honest, pleasant, and always ready to help. She went above and beyond to assist us with booking a cruise, renting motorcycles, and arranging a minibus transfer to our next destination. All of these services were provided with great fairness and at very reasonable prices. The breakfast was delicious, and overall, our stay was lovely.

During the less busy months, the town does feel a bit like a ghost town, and there aren’t many nearby restaurants — but a scooter solves that easily, as you can ride a short distance and reach Ha Long.

We recently stayed at the Golden Palm Halong Hotel, and it was an unforgettable experience! The staff went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of my stay was exceptional. Their warmth, attentiveness, and willingness to assist made us feel truly valued as a guest. The room was absolutely stunning—spacious, clean, and beautifully designed. But the highlight was the breathtaking view of Halong Bay right from the window. Hours were spent just sitting watching the view, we will cherish it forever. From the top-notch service to the perfect location, everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend Golden Palm Halong Hotel to anyone visiting Halong Bay. It's a true gem!

There was nothing we did not like.

Nice clean comfortable hotel which has rooms with balconies offering lovely views overlooking Ha Long Bay! The hotel is nicely furnished and the rooms are spacious and well equipped. We chose this hotel as it is very near to where the overnight cruises depart from. Breakfast was included and again you can get some great views from the top floor of the hotel where breakfast is served! Staff were very friendly and helpful! The hotel kept our luggage for us whilst we went on a one night cruise.

Unfortunately, as previously mentioned by other guests, the area where the hotel is located is like a ghost town! There aren't any nice restaurants nearby to eat and just a few local shops selling snacks and the like! It's a pity the hotel doesn't have a restaurant serving dinner.

After being in Ha Noi and Sapa and the amount of traffic it was fantastic to be in a place that was quiet. The area is very quiet, almost jarring at times. But the place is amazing and the staff work so hard. They also arranged a Queen Cruise for us which was brilliant.

The internet speed was pretty ordinary if streaming on phone. But you could still search the web and use maps etc. also be mindful not to expect a huge array of restaurants. But the ones there were very good

We stayed a Golden Palm Ha Long Hotel the night before our cruise which unfortunately got cancelled due to Typhoon Bualoi but the staff were very helpful and friendly as well as neighbouring businesses.

We unfortunately stayed at the time of a typhoon so experienced leaking in our hotel room. The breakfast wasn’t great either. The area itself is pretty depressing, with little to do and no atmosphere.

This gem of a place surpassed our expectations. No 1. was the reception, kindness, and service we received from Mr. & Mrs. Phuong Nguyen. They went out and beyond to arrange our transportations, our requests, catering to all our needs..a very exceptional couple...to both of them a warm thank you 💞 And thank you for letting us play cards while catering us with beer and wine in your lounge area! The room was awesome with an amazing view of the port. It was big, very clean, comfortable with all the amenities needed. The breakfast was great and delicious. The 2 girls in charge of the breakfast were always friendly and accommodating....awesome staff. We stayed 2 nights before departing on our 3 day cruise and it was worth every penny of it. I couldn't believe how cheap it was for such a beautiful hotel..5 Star in my book with a 10 star review.

Very nice and spacious room, with views over Halong bay. Owner/manager is very pleasant and tried hard. Good for a one night stay before Halong bay cruise.

Hotel was almost empty (only 15 people staying) as it was low season, so had a very strange vibe. Breakfast is limited due to low numbers and items which ran out (bread, butter, coffee) were only refilled on request. Hotel restaurant only serves breakfast which was disappointing as this was one of our reasons for selecting this hotel! Area around the hotel is very isolated and there are extremely limited food choices.

Golden Palm was a great stop off point for us before we went onto our Ha Long Bay Cruise. Phuong at reception was lovely! She made sure we were always happy and gave us recommendations for food and also booked our bus to Ninh Binh. She was so helpful! The hotel room was very big and the bed was super comfy! Good selection for breakfast too! We loved our stay and would totally stay again. Thank you Phuong for making our stay memorable :)

Wifi was slow, hard to stream movies/shows. YouTube worked fine but other streaming sites did not.

Lovely view over the sea where one can observe both the city and the entrance to the bay. Helpful staff. There are a few shops and cafes nearby (within 10 minutes walk). If going on a cruise, it s taking anywhere between 20-30 min walking but the hotel offers to arrange a transfer for a convenient price.

Breakfast relatively modest but satisfactory using into consideration the price of the room.

Very nice, clean, comfortable hotel. Newly renovated & modern. The owner was warm and helpful. We stayed on the 5th floor with a balcony overlooking the marina. We only stayed one night, but enjoyed the stay and the amazing value for money. This is at the Marina for Day Cruises. We were here in off- season, so not much was going on in the neighborhood. Still it was safe, clean & well-maintained. We were able to find reasonable dinner nearby the hotel. It was a 20 min/ $7 cab ride to international pier for our 3-day Halong Bay cruise the next morning.
