The property was situated just outside of the old quarter but a walkable distance to Hoan Kiem lake, beer street and train street. Being outside the old quarter did allow for a more restful sleep away from the noise of the busier streets of old quarter. We really enjoyed this area and the pool and roof top bar are a great addition to the stay and the view from the top was incredible! All the staff are lovely and welcoming and made us feel looked after. Special mention to Allen, went above and beyond for us and made getting our room easy to check into.

The kindness of the staff was exceptional. We had a terrific time at the hotel. The room is very spacious, the bed is incredibly comfortable and there is a big window, which is a big plus when you visit Hanoi, as most hotels don’t offer that. The breakfast buffet was very diverse, and the food was just excellent. There was everything! Again, the staff was so attentive and made sure we were satisfied every single time. I also booked a facial and wow! I left feeling so relaxed. As Vietnam was our last stop, we did have to do laundry and the best part was that the price is by kg and not by item. My clothes were not only clean, but ironed and perfectly folded. The hotel is not located in the busy old quarter, but is only a few steps away which gives you the best of both worlds. This was our most expensive hotel in Vietnam - as I wanted to finish our 3 weeks stay in a bit of comfort after some off-the-beaten track / slightly uncomfortable adventures. I will judge then this hotel not on its own but in comparison to what I had a chance to experience in Vietnam - as a value for money. Yes, the hotel is very good, it aims to be on the posh side, as the staff is very kind, professional and attends to your every need. We even got a small gift when leaving ! BEst thing - BREAKFAST FOR KINGS ! It is a buffet and you can get absolutely everything - from traditional Vietnamese Pho to English bacon/eggs/beans to sandwiches, croissants etc. a BLAST !!! Unfortunately I am not giving it a 10 stars as we had similar comfortable rooms in other places for much lower price ( but it might be the fact that it is capital and the National Holidays were approaching - meaning higher demand and higher prices ) and few issues decribed below.

We stayed in 2 rooms - the originally booked on booking.com was as expected - clean and comfortable, however we had to stay extra night ( as our cruise in Halong Bay was cancelled due to storm ) and the one we got was not as good yet more expensive ( adjacent room ) Swimming pool has uneven floor - with some devices sticking out - my wife hurt / broken her foot fingernail very badly on it - there should be a warning or sth done about it. There was no proper first aid kit available - but staff gave us some napkins to stop bleeding and later plasters. Drinks on the rooftop bar are a bit overpriced in my opinion, food in restaurant is good, but also a bit on an expensive side.

I had a wonderful 2-night stay at May de Ville Corner in Hanoi and would go back without a second thought if I return to the city! From start to finish, communication was excellent – the staff replied to all my enquiries quickly and clearly. Everyone I encountered, from the lovely reception team to the kind doormen and kitchen staff, made me feel genuinely welcome. They were all simply beautiful. A special mention to Hazel, who truly went above and beyond. One evening, I ran out of cash and realised I had left my card back at the hotel – an easy mistake when you’re used to digital cards in Australia! Hazel was so helpful and made sure we got back to the hotel safely and quickly. Her kindness really stood out. The room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I appreciated having a safe in the room for passports and valuables. Breakfast was fantastic – fresh, generous, and regularly topped up by caring staff. I also had the best vegetarian curry I’ve ever eaten during lunch at the hotel! What really touched me was how accommodating they were with my autistic child. He was overwhelmed when we didn’t get the same table as earlier, and the staff kindly allowed us to move without hesitation. That thoughtful gesture meant a lot to us.

If I had to mention one small area for improvement, it would be the shower temperature control, which in our room was positioned quite low – and I say that as someone who is 1.65m tall! I had to bend my knees quite a bit to adjust it. It might not be the case in every room, so if you’re tall, maybe mention it at check-in and they’ll sort it out for you. That said, this is a minor detail compared to the overall experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel – warm hospitality, excellent service, and comfort all in one place.

Hotel position is in the center of a crowded capital city, so it is quite easy to go anywhere. The staff is genuinely nice, they serve hot tea with cinnamon flavor while waiting for the room and I love that. Facilities are all new & sophisticated. Breakfast buffet was beyond my expectation, they serve a lot of good local food, and you can have breakfast while viewing the whole city from the 13th floor. Don't forget to check out the top bar. It's suitable for chilling at night with friendly staff and good drinks. Pity that I didn't have a chance to try the spa.

The breakfast was lovely! Wide arrangement and eggs cooked to your liking. Staff were so kind and accommodating, holding doors getting lifts, looking after bags. Spa was fabulous. Obviously slightly more expensive but they had a 30% offer when we were there and it was well worth it. Private rooms and a drink on arrival and the interiors were very lovely. We had a Vietnamese massage and a hot stone massage and both were fabulous and we left feeling very well pampered.

The pool was smaller than we expected and more jacuzzi like. We were only staying for a night so decided to not use it but might have had it been bigger, however there isn’t a huge amount of space upstairs. Views were lovely and smoothies were reasonably priced in comparison to other sky bars in Hanoi.

The hotel was beautiful, very luxurious. Staff were helpful and very kind! Location was near the craziness of downtown but far enough away that you couldn’t hear it. The complimentary breakfast was insane, one of the best we’ve had so far. Rooftop bar was a cool lookout, one of the tallest buildings in the area, and the hotel was very clean with a nice little gym! Perfect for the start of our Vietnam journey.

The noise barriers between the rooms was hit or miss, luckily we did not have noisy neighbors but when people were outside the room you could hear conversations. Also the pool area is a bit small. But besides those minor things, this was a perfect stay!

It was in a more quiet part of the old town which actually was nice. Walking distance to everything. Rooms were very nice, clean and spacious. The view from the restaurant and tje rooftop terrace was FANTASTIC!!! We loved the terrace with the pool and we even had dinner up there with the amazing view of the whole city. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

One of our rooms had no window, which we did not know. There could be ac in the gym.

We stayed in the room under the restaurant. This meant we were woken up to the staff preparing the breakfast buffet at 5:30am every morning. The noise continues as breakfast starts at 6:30am and goes until 10am. Due to the location, we needed to taxi 10 minutes to any tourist areas of town. Hanoi is not a very walkable city so we spent a bit more on Grabs than expected.
