The rooms were beautiful and comfortable and very good value for money. The staff, especially reception staff, went above and beyond to help us to feel looked after. The location was perfect and easy walking distance to the main sites of Hanoi. We also enjoyed the freshly made omelettes for breakfast every morning!

The only negative we can think of is that the pool area needs some renovation and updating, but we still really enjoyed the pool and incredible rooftop views - it was the perfect place to cool off after a day of sightseeing!

I really enjoyed the spa. The pool on the roof is great, especially at night as you can look out at all the city lights while you swim. The jacuzzi/pool/sauna are a lovely combination. Also, the bed was extremely comfortable and the room nicely decorated. The staff were exceedingly helpful and friendly. The location is within walking distance or a short cab ride to a lot of good stuff in the Old Quarter.

There was very little not to like. The controls on the sauna/steam room were a bit confusing (I didn't realize that the controls for the steam room were to the right of it - I thought the sauna control panel was for both - that's probably my bad for not looking more closely).

The location of hotel is not far from old quarter of Hanoi. It’s within walking distance (15 mins walking). The family room is spacious. There are 2 toilets in the room. It has separate shower room and bath. Bed was very comfortable, the bed linen and towels were clean, smooth, bright white and smell fresh. The hotel receptionist who checked us in recommended a travel agent who offered ha long bay and ninh bihn trips. The trips were wonderful. Tour guide spoke really good English. We spent a night in a cruise for ha long bay trip. Lapis hotel kept our suitcases for us for the night. The hotel offers laundry service and the laundry price is quite reasonable. The laundry was delivered to our room every day at 7 pm. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. Ms. Quy especially very friendly and bubbly. Thank you Lapis Hotel for exceptional hospitality!!

The corridor smell in 6th floor was musty. Hotel might need to install air freshener like the fragrance in lobby area. Lobby area smell is very fresh and nice.

It's a nice hotel with a rooftop pool overlooking the french quarter. The location is good, it's about a 20 minute walk to the old town and loads of great restaurants and cafes nearby. The bed is really comfortable and the Aircon works well. Staff are very polite and helpful.

The breakfast was ok, but way too expensive for what it is. Loads of great cafes nearby offering better quality food for the same price or less.

We stayed here twice during our travels around Vietnam and loved it both times. Really comfortable and luxurious rooms - the beds were incredibly soft and comfortable! Our room faced into a concrete courtyard which we were fine with as it meant the room was lovely and quiet at night and we weren’t bothered by all the noisy Hanoi traffic at all!

The pool area could do with some renovation but we still enjoyed our time there!

Breakfast was good. I loved the smoked bassa fillets Good that you could also ask for a double expresso as the coffee wasn’t good.

We checked in with a standard room, that had no light coming in the window as you looked out to a concrete wall. It was an awful room very depressing. The bathroom wasn’t safe to get in over the bath to the shower. I paid for an upgrade. Which made our stay.

Very comfortable and stylish hotel. It has got everything you need for a holiday. We loved the spa. Friendly staff and convenient location, 15 minutes walk to the old quarter. We stayed there twice. The first 3 nights and then another 2 nights. The first night was not as good as we expected but the manager took action to rectify the issue and reassured that they would make improvements to insure guests expectations were met.

Some wall paper is peeling, need some fix.

The property was clean and well laid out. Access to services was thorough and easy. Was good to have the option of breakfast.

Our adjoining wall to the room next door had their tv on it so it was noisy. Also we were on the street side and it was very noisy with cars and people yelling. It didn’t have a lot of shops/restaurants nearby. Everything seemed to need transport to get to.

Spacious, comfortable and well equipped room. Beautifully clean. With fridge & coffee making facilities including cups & sachets of coffee /tea Great roof top infinity pool to relax at the end of the day . Located in the French Quarter which meant it was about 15-20 mins walk from many of the tourist sights in the Old Quarter. However, the benefit of being in the French Quarter meant the surrounding streets were wide, French style boulevards with good pedestrian footpaths rather than the cramped and hectic streets of the old quarter.

The laundry service was very expensive compared to the other hotels we stayed in

The service at this hotel was exceptional, nothing was too hard for the staff and they gave us many helpful tips of what to see and do in Hanoi. We had a few problems with paying for tours etc (our credit card) and the staff went out of their way to help us get it sorted out. The rooms were older style so very very comfortable and I was sad to leave. The pool on the 11th floor is lovely and one of our favorite's.

Not that we didn't like it but our only whinge about this hotel was it wasn't closer to the shopping ie shoe street, train street etc but saying that it was only a 15 min walk and or a 2 min taxi ride so I would still stay here again because of how great the service was.
