Beautiful place! The location is great, very secluded and relaxing surrounding. Rooms were clean with amazing view of the Hoa Binh lake. Staff were nice and always helpful.

We would give 10/10 if the food was good. Unfortunately this has been so far our worst food we have ever had in Vietnam. Tasteless and expensive. It's a pitty downgrade of such a nice place… :-(

I absolutely loved my stay at this resort! It’s the perfect retreat for anyone seeking peace and quiet, far from the noise of the city. The secluded location offers total relaxation, with only the occasional ferry passing by—but the sound is brief and doesn’t take away from the serene atmosphere. The views of the lake are simply breathtaking, especially at sunrise and sunset. It’s an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy nature. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always making sure everything was perfect. On top of that, the restaurant served tasty food (8/10) for lunch and dinner menus. We did not need to find any dinning place outside of the resort during the 2 days we spent there. However, breakfast was just at average level. A special mention to Dinh Thi Linh, who we encountered at the restaurant—such a responsible and friendly staff member, ensuring everything was just right. If you’re looking for a tranquil getaway with stunning scenery, excellent service, and great food, I highly recommend this resort!

The hotel is in a beautiful environment, overall very clean and well kept with stunning gardens. The food off the paid menu was very tasty and they have a mix of Asian and Western options. The views on a clear day are STUNNING.

This property is not in Mai Chau village, it’s a 1/2 hour drive away and the taxis are expensive. Dont stay here unless you are happy to hire a scooter. The breakfast was limited down due to the hotel being quiet, on the first day we arrived it was a full buffet and then from day 2 onwards it changed to eggs on toast or soup. The pool had algae on the infinity side which is difficult to access due to being a ledge so you could tell it was not cleaned.

We really enjoyed our stay. The resort is located right on the shore of Hoa Binh Lake, and the view from the room was so beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend it to anyone. The resort is located some distance from the villages of Mai Chau, with a drive to Ban Lac taking about 30-35 minutes. If you head in the opposite direction towards Ba Khan, you’ll travel along the lake, enjoying beautiful views of the water and the small islands in Hoa Binh Lake.

Very friendly staff, beautiful location and view, good spa with fair pricing, lovely infinity pool, comfy rooms.

The prices in the restaurant are quite high, food orders weren't always served together (for a group of 7 people), and unfortunately there were 2-3 mistakes in the invoicing (again, for a group of 7 people) which I found a bit strange for such a high class resort. However, in the end everything was settled and sorted out.

The crew was super friendly! Beautiful serene place to come for unwinding. We decided to leave early because we wanted to see Some more of Vietnam before our holiday was over and without saying one word about it the manager decided to refund us for the nights we didn’t stay, what a service!

Far away from other life, so you should be prepared to eat morning afternoon and evening there

We loved our 3 day stay here. For four star at this price it is pretty good. Nice rooms and comfy bed. The pool and views were lush, the pool bar could be tendered a bit more but no worries. Massage is good, food and buffet breakfast is tasty and the staff are really lovely.

Bit out of the way so will need a taxi but it is worth it You only get 1 small bottle each of water free in room per day, so possibly bring loads of water if you don't want to pay. If there was free water and we missed it, my bad

Very relaxing, stunning lake and food. The staff were amazing throughout. All the staff made a big effort to make my stay magical. I requested a tour of my choice not on the scheduled list and they arranged it for me. Turned out to be better and more memorable than I could have imagined. Thank you to all at Hideaway resort.

It was relaxing and peaceful ishThe room was lovely and the view over the lake was marvellous. The shower was amazing. Also it was the only place that provided helmets for cycling.The pool was a delight. I think it may have reached 20m in length so you could properly swim.

You do get the noise from the boats just next door early in the morning but then again that does make them very convenient for trips. The food is very expensive by Vietnamese standards but still cheaper than the UK. Our main problem was that there wasn't much you could do independently as the brakes on the bikes were poor and it's an 'undulating' area. Walking wasn't really an option unless you went along the roads. However if you just want to relax and make the most of the resort's activities then that would be fine. Having just come from the beautiful Pu Luong we really couldn't appreciate Mai chow as much as we would otherwise have done.

Tge location of this place is very unique. I have stayed with many hotel by the lake, but it is very different when your hotel is on the hill surrounded by the lake. The windflow and the energy of this place is amazing. You don't need to go anywhere, the hotel itself can be the destination. The place also feel old school in the very best way, reminding me of memories when I was young.

The Food, Expensive and does not taste good. Besides, the food at the hotel is the only option you have as there is nothing around.
