Gorgeous design and amazing landscaping. So peaceful and even though you had to walk a distance to get to the different areas, it was so beautiful that it was a pleasure.

As we were checking out a staff member informed me that I would have to pay a 100k VND cleaning fee for a stain I left on one of the pillows. I asked to see a photo and was shown a mark from my lip balm, which washes right out with regular laundry detergent. I gently but firmly indicated that I wasn't going to pay a cleaning fee for a mark that wasn't a stain or any form of permanent damage and they relented, but considering the size and nature of the mark on the pillow I was really surprised they would bring it up at all, and disappointed. It soured the end of my experience and I wish that someone had shown a bit more judgement before determining that I should pay an extra fee for zero damage.

- Beautiful grounds with lots of trees and greenery - very friendly and helpful staff - great food diversity for breakfast (dumplings/buns, noodle soup…) and very tasty - even though the location is not the best (far away from most iconic sites), at least it was very close to the national park Dam Van Long

- the lunch/dinner food: it was very expensive, and lacked flavor. because this hotel is quite isolated, you are stuck having lunch/diner at their restaurant, and the food didn’t meet expectations at all. the worst was the Vietnamese Set 2 (a third of that set did not taste good at all) - the rooms terrace didn’t have any chair/furniture to sit outside, which was very surprising - not only the bicycles were not in good shape, but also we had to pay to use them, which was quite surprising… especially since we stayed at other hotels in Vietnam which had much better bicycles which we could use for free

We made a last minute booking here to extend our stay in Ninh Binh/Tam Coc area and enjoy a couple of down days given the heat. The resort is beautiful, our rooms were lovely and we were lucky enough to be in a cluster of rooms with a shared semi private pool set in lush gardens. The buffet breakfast was great and we could choose between Vietnamese options thru to cook breakfast or pastries. Lunch and dinner at the resort were also great and we also tried a local restaurant we found on Google with great reviews for local food. We loved the main pools both outdoor and indoor, we also booked into the spa for massages and facials and it was incredible. Staff were friendly and helpful as well.

It’s a super lux property with all the amenities possible. Huge rooms with big bathtubs, private pools for every cluster of 5/6 rooms, 2 big common pools (indoor heated & outdoor). You can spend the whole night in the private pools, which is a rarity. It’s located just 500 mtrs away from Van Long wetland park.

The food is not good. The restaurant is pricey and doesn’t give a bang for the buck in taste and variety. The property is located away (30 mins) from the main town & the two main attractions of Ninh Binh, i.e. Tam Coc & Trang An, which adds up to the cost of travel & limits the food options. The other Emeralda located at Tam Coc would be a much better choice to stay.

The staff were very accomodating. We stayed in a lovely room where the surrounding areas are beautiful and green with abundant trees and mountain views. The buggie service, and bike rental is very useful. The restaurant provided really nice Vietnamese cuisine with western options as well. We organised a tour the afternoon before and we had a fantastic guide who was extremely knowledgeable and flexible with plans. The rooms were quiet and secluded and the surrounding village was lovely with friendly locals saying hello and offering guidance. Thankyou for a wonderful experience.

Had a great stay here, would recommend for families. Good cot included in our spacious room for our toddler. All the staff great, but especially the restaurant team who were so kind and attentive for the duration of our stay, always making sure we had a high chair and being so sweet with our daughter (thank you especially to the Manager and Hoa). Great facilities including kids room with a soft play area. Also loved the spa. Huge breakfast buffet with lots of choice.

Everything, it had a lovely feel to it, the staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent. We would certainly revisit this hotel. We went on a trip with Dũng which made our stay with you so special. His knowledge which he shared with us on everything was vast, he was so considerate, caring and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We loved his sense of humour and company.

Large property set out over beautiful grounds. Accommodation in small cul de sac areas. You feel on your own in the property and amongst nature.

If you happen to be there on Family Day which I believe is one Sunday a month, the hotel is crowded by people for 3 hours of the day. There was nowhere to relax anywhere in the hotel. I would check this before booking!

Very private, calm and relaxing location, amidst rice fields and walking distance form the nature reserve. Beautifully maintained grounds. Extremely large and well appointed room, full of character (the upper category is definitely worth the extra cost - significantly nicer and larger than standard rooms + have an incredible indoor/outdoor bathroom with a lovely freestanding bathtub). Great breakfast choices, constantly replenished. Fantastic and affordable SPA services offered by high quality professional masseuses.

A more varied vegetarian menu would be nice
