The retreat is in a beautiful remote location up in the hills - we were a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenage children) and the staff kindly provided two rooms next door to each other as we requested. We all enjoyed the lovely laid back atmosphere of the hotel, with staff who are incredibly helpful, delicious food for both breakfast, lunch and dinner and amazing swimming pools with gorgeous views of the valley. The rooms were incredibly clean, well laid out and with great views. We organised a half day walking trek from the hotel which i would definitely recommend - our guide Hien was fabulous! Ahead of our visit we asked if the hotel could organise us a driver from Hanoi airport and then back to Hanoi and this was organised brilliantly with no fuss and friendly helpful confirmations. The resort is also great value for money considering the high standard it provides - would definitely recommend!

A fridge in the room would have been a welcome bonus!

My stay at Pu Luong Retreat has satisfied me Beyond any expectation. A special praise goes to the staff of the hotel, which first welcomed in Pu Luong and gave me so many tips on the area, on what to do and how to move through the enchanting beauty of this exotic landscape. Each member of the staff has been kind, professional and dedicated giving special attention to me as well as to each of the guests. The room was clean and beautifully furnished, not to mention the view of the blue mountains standing in the horizon surrounding the greenest rice fields and rice terraces. The breakfast has a wide choice of food, varying from the continental one to the vietnamese specialties. I booked a one day trekking of more than 14 km visiting the enchanting Kho Muong village and its mysterious cave, here I had an abundant, tasty lunch at a homestay, then me and the guide walked all through the Natural Reserve to get to the Thai Village of Uoi Lan Where i experienced the local art of making brocade textiles. ialso had the chance to experience a moment of bliss with a great energizing and yet relaxing massage at the Retreat Spa Just before leaving to Hanoi. Pu Luong Retreat was so pleasant i would recommend it to anyone.

We loved our stay at the retreat! It is very nice in the middle of the nature. The view is gorgeous and the breakfast ist very yummy. We had dinner once which was very nice as well. We had the room above the pool bar and were a bit afraid that it would be too load but the bar closes at 10 pm which is very nice! :) The Spa treatments (we had massages and hair wash) were great as well. The staff was amazing - very kind, very helpful and always had a smile on their lips when we came! We would like to particularly point out Ms Jolie, who helped us a lot when our flights got changed by the airline and the restaurant manager who was always looking out for us during meals. Thank you!

There were not many English speaking tours from the location, so you should arrange that in advance :)

Amazing value for money! Views are stunning and the resort is beautiful and well equipped. There is in fact air conditioning in the rooms despite the listing saying there isn't.

Was given a garden view room despite choosing mountain view. Didn't mind too much as the price is identical and the view was still good. Staff tried to charge me 3% extra for paying with card despite the final figure being confirmed on booking.com. You should request to complete payment using booking.com if this is the case for you.

The location is exceptional—peaceful and serene, an ideal escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. The rooms offer breathtaking views of rolling mountains and lush greenery.

No room or buggy service, but given the location and layout, walking and dining on-site works best. However, it isn’t well suited for elderly guests.

Magnificent views, tasty food ( some items a little pricey, but lovely. Must try the roast PuLuong duck. Very comfortable bed with fresh linen and clean rooms.

Unfortunately I don’t speak Vietnamese so it would have been helpful if more staff had a little more English. They did try 😁

what at nice location ! and most importantly …the staff went the full extra mile when my wife broke her arm. i cant tell in words how much we appreciate their prompt help (bringing us to the hospital, translation, payments etc). just wow and a big thank you to everyone!!!

The breakfast buffet was probably the best that we have had in Vietnam!

IT would have been nice to have a little fridge in our room. Also, room service would have been nice as we had to walk quite a way to the restaurant and bar . These however are minor issues in the big picture!

If it would have been warmer this stay would have been so beautiful. Even though it was rainy and chilly we had an amazing time. Our guide, Hien, was so sweet. We spend 1 1/2 days with her and enjoyed every minute. The place itself is gorgeous. It will not disappoint you.

Amazing staff, views were incredible, the pictures barely do justice. Wonderful food, a little pricey but worth it. They found out I hadn't tried the meal - Bun Cha, so they made it for lunch for us one day although it wasn't on the menu.
