This resort is very pleasant and relaxing. It is within reasonable walking distance of Mai Chau town and Lac Village as well as being handy to lots of sealed paths through the rice fields. We enjoyed all our meals at the resort restaurant and we appreciated the resort arranging local tours for us. The pool is a great feature.

Without adequate explanation (or reduction in tariff), we were not given the rooms we had ordered (pool view and mountain view bungalows) but the alternatives proved to be satisfactory, so no real complaint. We were given three twin rooms on the upper level of the main building Although smaller, they were comfortable and had excellent rice field/mountain views.

Plus- really helpful with transport, nice breakfast, lovely view, large pool, staff spoke English, very relaxed environment, good restaurant food, very clean. Cons- main building could be noisy but finished by 9. Very little soundproofing so loud people in other rooms could be heard. Recommend if you are a light sleeper you bring ear plugs, there is a Cockrell that crows throughout the night, first night I woke 3 time. Between 5-6 it crows for about 1 hour. To improve mattress toppers.would help the beds.

Absolutely beautiful location with gentle walks and cycle routes direct from the door through the valley. We visited several local villages on foot and cycled up to a nearby cave. The room was very comfortable and we had a very tasty local fish dish in the restaurant (you have to order in the afternoon for the evening). The staff were very helpful and arranged our transport to and from the hotel (from Hanoi and then on to Ninh Binh). A peaceful and relaxing spot.

We loved everything! A very nice place with super friendly staff. The swimming pool offers a beautiful view of the rice fields, and the location is surrounded by stunning landscapes. It’s great to have the option to enjoy meals on-site. The breakfast is excellent and complete. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the necessary facilities.

The location of Mai Châu Sky Resort has to be one of the most beautiful locations for a hotel in the world. The views of the fields and mountains are stunning and the hotel is walking distance to some cool local businesses. The breakfast every morning is good and fresh. The staff provide great service and are friendly as well.

I've stayed here before and came back a second time. The room has a very beautiful view, mountains, forests and green rice fields Large swimming pool, enthusiastic staff advising on services and tours to visit Mai Chau valley. Clean and unique dishes such as fish with papaya leaves, grilled chicken, and pork in a bamboo tube Experience living in a close and friendly living space with local people. Early in the morning you will hear the sound of roosters crowing that you never hear in the city.

Fantastic hotel, loved everything about it , wonderful staff, good food dinner, great breakfast lots to choose from. Fantastic views . Hired some push bikes and spent 5 hours riding around following the free map we were given, the owner recommended the hot springs and sorted out a taxi for us ( well worth going) we would all recommend this hotel, loved it and the staff

Surroundings are stunning. In weekends a nice breakfast buffet is set up.

You have to preorder your dinner before 5pm. However, this is very understandable due to access to fresh ingredients in the whole town. So this is not really a negative, just need to be aware. They were very clear with instructions on arrival.

Mai Chau Sky Resort exceeded our expectations! The balcony was great and the room was simple but comfortable and had everything needed. The staff are so kind, friendly and caring. The swimming pool is also great! We would definitely stay here again!

The motorbikes for rent are so old. Mine broke down on a busy road and had to find a mechanic to fix it.

The location couldn't have been better, situated on a beautiful rice paddy with amazing views.

While the pool area was lovely (big, clean, and cold pool with stunning views all around), there was a real shortage of sun loungers (only about 4-5) and nowhere suitable to sit to enjoy the pool.
