Beautiful views, comfortable and well equipped room, the private pool added even more to this special experience. Interesting performances each evening, displaying local music and dancing. Breakfast was good with many options.

The only thing we felt was not matching the whole beautiful experience was the lunch/evening menu in the restaurant. We tried both once but the quality was too low - especially considering the price. The food didn't taste like much, neither the Vietnamese, nor the Western dishes were to our liking. There was muuuch better food available in the restaurants nearby. (but there was an easy fix to this - so actually not a big issue)

The staff, the room with private pool, food, and especially the work staff, they are very helpful and happy 😊, best breakfast pho we have eaten ( beef noodle soup) waitresses super friendly.

The first day we arrived, there was a very large event going on in the village with karaoke and announcer on very loud speakers could be heard everywhere in valley. If you stay only one night, it may put you off returning. It's not the fault of eco lodge but will put people off staying if it is regularly on at weekends. Monday onwards, it was a great stay very peaceful.

Everything was wonderful! As it was our honeymoon we were treated to an upgrade, it was a lovely room with a pool underneath, I’d encourage you to book this room anyway as it’s not much more. The staff were lovely and the food we ate was delicious, also ate locally too. The pool was nice but we had stayed elsewhere before in the area and had amazing views of the mountains, sadly this hasn’t got this at the main pool so another reason to book the suite. The beds were super comfortable and I set an early alarm just so we could wake up and look at the mountains. The wooden round super sized bath was incredible but the outdoor shower needs some work-shower head more like a garden hose attachment. Free bike hire with decent bikes so make use of these and have a look round however tempted you are to stay in the room, the countryside is amazing.

I didn’t know about the construction work and during the time around the main pool it did get a bit annoying, but just play some tunes and drift off. As a bit of compensation for this the hotel were offering 15% off massages, I’d already booked some so a nice touch. The spa however was a let down, it’s a cubical room with beds sectioned off with screens and not very attractive/spa like at all, the massages like most of Vietnam seem practical instead of the Weston spa like experience that were used to but happy to embrace the change, would prefer face/head not to be an added area if booking back and neck as wasn’t expecting it.

Best hotel in Vietnam so far. It is very close to the village, you can take the bikes (they have bikes for kids too!) and visit close by attractions. Beautiful rooms and views as well ( the one with privet pool was really great ) The rooms were very clean, with mosqueters, staff amazingly helpful and seemed to know our every move and kept bringing us items which we left accidentally somewhere. The food was good as for Vietnam too. Wide choice for breakfast including pancakes, fruits. The only downside was lack of good coffee (coffee was terrible) and when we asked about a driver they gave us only option from the hotel which was double price compared to external taxi provider. You have to ask precisely for external company taxi, but I guess that was the hotel policy.

Great location overlooking the rice fields and surrounded by mountains. Lovely private suite with terrace looking out on the vista. Very good air conditioning. Beautiful grounds and gardens. Helpful and friendly staff. Affordable shuttle to Hanoi. Excellent 1/2 day trekking tour from village to village and through the rice paddies and jungle with a personable and knowledgeable guide. We recommend visiting during weekdays to avoid the noisy party venue on the other side on the fields.

Noisy from nearby party location that apparently hosts large groups on weekends, including Sunday evening. Noise subsided by 11:00pm. Ecolodge restaurant had limited vegetarian options (though they will change menu items), and quite expensive based on other places we stayed in Vietnam. However, there are other dining options nearby.

The room and scenery were beautiful. Staff was attentive. Food was good (although the portions seem to be for sharing)

Although the room had a beautiful bathtub that I was looking forward to soaking in (the weather was cold and wet) the tub was ABSOLUTELY USELESS! The rooms have very small water heaters that only fill the tub with 2- 3 inches of hot water. When I checked in the young lady warned me that there might not be enough hot water, so I have to ask: what's the point? Also, i get massages regularly and the massage I got in the spa was so bad that I didn't even finish. I complained and they did take it off my bill, but I would have preferred a good massage.

My husband and I had the most wonderful stay at Mai Chau Ecolodge! The views from both the rooms and the pool were beautiful, and we also really enjoyed the food. We had an incredible hot stone massage—the best we experienced in Vietnam by far! The lodge is perfectly situated for biking and exploring the nearby villages, an ideal spot to soak in the surroundings.

While we appreciated the complimentary bikes, unfortunately, they weren’t in the best condition. The brakes on mine barely worked, and unlike other bikes we saw, these did not have a basket, which would have been helpful.

Mai Chau Ecolodge is situated about 1km from the main Mai Chau town and is a haven of peace from the busy main street of the town. We arrived just as the sun was going down and had the most fabulous view across the rice paddies, from the balcony on our bungalow. The bungalow was spacious and well presented, tidy and clean. We had a bath and shower, with plenty of hot water. The staff here were very gentle, friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our time here.

We ate dinner at their restaurant on the first night, but I'm sorry to say, that it was only average - I think they'd "Westernised" to food too much and it was a little bland. The breakfast, the next morning was good, with plenty of options at their buffet.

Staff was exceptional. Very welcoming, great help, and made our stay for just under a week an very memorable experience for our family. We had to visit the local hospital and they sent a local Staff member with us to help and translate. That was truly great and highly appreciated. We stayed in different type of rooms, all were nice. Pool including private pools were clean, fresh water every other day or so and we noticed emptying and refilling after guest left. So we do not recognize the comment about pools that we not clean. Food was good. Staff in various departments, housekeeping, reception, massage, security and restaurant all fantastic. Reliable with transfers etc. Highly recommended.

The setting in the middle of nature, away from the aerea in Lac where most visitors and tour buses stay, was so peaceful. Our room overlooking the rice fields were beautiful. If you come across this review, don’t look any further. The staff is super friendly and the pool a nice way to relax after the ‘’must bike tour” around the villages. The evening show of the Thai dancers was a nice touch.

If you have an issue walking up stairs, this might be an issue. Our room which had an amazing view, but had many steps up to the pool, reception and restaurant above the reception. Not a problem at all for us, but worth mentioning.
