York Lodge is a warm and inviting haven nestled in lush greenery. As you enter the grounds, you're greeted by a tapestry of colorful flowers and majestic trees that create a serene, home-like atmosphere. The professional yet friendly staff welcome you with genuine warmth, making you feel instantly at ease. The lodges are thoughtfully designed, offering cozy sanctuaries that blend comfort with elegance. My room became a personal retreat, perfect for both relaxation and productivity. I spent countless hours on the patio, surrounded by the verdant landscape, finding inspiration in the peaceful environment. The property boasts a refreshing pool area, ideal for unwinding or gentle exercise, while the well-equipped fitness center caters to more vigorous workouts. These amenities, coupled with the tranquil gardens, create a holistic space for rejuvenation. Mealtimes at York Lodge are a delight, with delicious, home-style cooking that nourishes both body and soul. The dining experience, set against the backdrop of the beautiful grounds, perfectly complements the cozy ambiance of the lodge. My stay at York Lodge felt all too brief, leaving me longing to return to this homely retreat and its natural beauty.

York Lodge is made of charming English bungalows (with modern amenities) in a lush green compound. Our compliments to Margot the owner for developing such a beautiful property with a blend of foliage (old trees and new plants and green islands) It was like staying in a botanical garden. Lounging on the broad verandahs, hearing sounds of birds and insects in the air conditioned temperature of Harare was bliss. The bungalows have modern amenities and this really helped us unwind!

We were traveling as a mostly vegetarian group. The restaurant menu could be improved. We had the opportunity to eat fabulous food in Zimbabwe and therefore are aware that great vegetarian options can be made available here. Having a little kids play area (a small jungle gym/ tree house) could be added to keep the kiddos engaged.

The staff were very helpful at the lodge, from lending a plug adapter to early wake-up calls with coffee. There is an honesty bar for drinks and the option for having dinner at the lodge. There was power backup for when the National grid failed.

There are no wall sockets, just one in my room, which is shaky, it should be updated, other than that; it’s amazing. Loved the experience.

Beautiful grounds that are well maintained. Staff was friendly and efficient; perfect overnight stay before heading out on safari. That’s all I got

The breakfast was excellent and the room was very comfortable. I was allowed to stay until it was time to go to the airport. Margot and her staff could not have been more helpful. Wonderful place and will go back when I have the chance.

Was bit expensive but only because of Rand / Dollar exchange - unfortunately make Zimbabwe expensive to travel, but not the facilities fault. It was a beautiful home with fantastic staff

This property is very well looked after. It is situated in a very tranquil and peaceful well cared for garden setting. It has a feel of home but provides a subtle degree of absolute perfection for the single professional traveller or for that matter a mature couple who love the feel of space and privacy in a very comfortable way.. I know they are capable of hosting larger parties by providing business facilities. The staff are very polite and helpful. I have the greatest admiration for the vision and structure of this idyllic oasis in what can be a very testing country enviroment.
