Located at the walking boulevard that goes straight to the old town. Very nice pool. Spacious rooms.

You need to pay extra for the pool. The hotel informs you upfront with the booking, so the communication is correct, you also get a voucher for a drink at the pool. That said, as a guest, the experience would be better if the pool was simply included.

This is a really impressive looking hotel, visible from everywhere in Berat and east to walk in and out from the old town and local bars/ restaurants etc. It has a lovely modern finish and a nice pool area. Our room was lovely and well priced for the setting.

We were charged EU10 per person to use the outdoor pool - possibly the only hotel in the world where guests are charged to use it's facilities. The hotel rates itself 5* but if you are used to staying in 5* hotels you are unlikely to agree - breakfast was very limited, and rooms were not serviced at all during our stay. The drain in the bathroom was blocked and we had to clean it out ourselves to avoid flooding the room.

Amazing building and nice hotel. The hotel is located close to a variety of restaurants and within walking distance to the Old Town. Nice pool area.

Breakfast is quite poor for 5* property standards. Price for pool should be included for hotel residents. There was no trash can in the room (it was only in the bathroom).

The pool is great to have especially on a hot day. Our room was very immaculate and modern (junior suite). The hotel is walking distance from town. Off street parking also available. The staff at the pool were very friendly.

€10 per day for the pool is ridiculous. I’ve seen the hotels argument re. it being seasonal, well then have a seasonal rate? I think the price is just too high when likely you will only be there 1-2 hours as during the day you are exploring or on tours etc. it’s not good value for money, even a half day rate would be better. Breakfast was very average. The view for our room was just a dusty parking lot. The exterior of the building needs some maintenance to keep the 5* look.

Very comfortable bed, spacious room, beautiful building and the pool area is nice. Short walk into Berat old town along a buzzing promenade. Staff were nice as everywhere in Albania. You get a fridge in your room and they provide two bottles of water a day. Breakfast was fine if a little unspectacular. They were kind enough to do a late checkout for us to leave late afternoon to head back to the airport for a night flight.

So ok, look. This is NOT a five star hotel by Western European standards. A few fixtures and fittings were broken or shonky, we got a kettle but nowhere to plug it in except the floor by the door, the Aircon was stuck on a fairly low temperature (although changing the fan speed helped a bit). Also there is absolutely no excuse for charging €10 per person per day to swim. None. Also the do an outdoor pool party at weekends with thumping music and almost no one attending. We were on the other side and could still hear it, god help thie overlooking the pool. But it is a lovely hotel if you class it as a good 3 or reasonable 4 star and the price is nowhere near what you'd pay elsewhere.

A Wonderful Stay at Hotel Colombo My wife and I had a fantastic time staying at Hotel Colombo in Berat. It is truly a 5-star hotel that lives up to its reputation. The photos you see online do it justice – the hotel is grand, with a beautiful and elegant reception area that sets the tone for a luxurious stay. The location is perfect, offering easy access to the city and stunning views. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome with exceptional service. The reception team was amazing, and we were even lucky enough to receive a room upgrade, which was a nice touch. We didn’t dine in at the hotel for dinner, but we enjoyed a delightful breakfast. The coffee was excellent, the food was fresh and delicious, and the dining area is spacious with a wide range of options to choose from. One of the highlights of our stay was the breathtaking view from our large windows. We had a clear view of Berat Castle and the charming city, which was the perfect finishing touch to an already memorable experience. We will definitely stay at Hotel Colombo again next time we visit Berat. Highly recommended!

Wonderful pool area with great views of the surrounding mountains and Berat castle. Only a short walk into town. Good parking available within the hotel grounds. The building itself is also fantastic. Decent breakfast.

There is a spa, but it seems to be permantly closed. You are able to request use if you give a half hour warning, but feels odd and awkward. As I was only there one night and wanted to use the pool area and explore the old town and the castle I wasn't overly fussed, but worth noting if you are.

The hotel was very grand big beautiful rooms.. Dinner in hotel was very over cooked ever item was individual priced and worked out very pricey and wasn't even nice also told by staff they only served one beer until my husband noticed at least another 4 types in the fridge.Breakfast was good and the location was great .

The staff were miserable the dinner in restaurant was awful such a shame as a beautiful hotel.

The property looks amazing!!! You do get the 5 star luxury feeling!! The breakfast was very good and the location great!!

The spa and wellness was not open.. which you expect from a 5star hotel. And we did have to wait for about 30mins when we arrived because the Prime minister was there and the entrance was forbidden to everyone else. We could have been informed before hand so we could have avoided driving around the hotel for 30mins!!! But the stay was overall very good and comfortable.
