I was staying one night and had a room with beautiful view to neighbourhood and mountains. The staff was kind and very serviceminded e.g. they fixed a taxi for me for 1200 LEK to the airport. Breakfast was great: egg, sausage and vegetables - I especially enjoyed the fresh orange juice. The room was clean, functional and pleasant with airconditioning and balcony with a table and chairs. The minibar made a little noice but luckily I had my earplugs with me and slept well. You could eat as cheap as 450 LEK for ½ roasted chicken with vegetables and two small draft beer in the area. It takes about 5-10 minutes by car to downtown or ca. 50 minutes to walk - by bus or bicycle about 10-15 minutes. I highly recommend Bonsai Hotel! Lene Kim from Copenhagen, Denmark

There was a strong fragrance which was supposed to smell nice but I would prefer a room without a strong fragrance and just natural or neutral. But it wasn't a problem I just took the fragrance-bowl outside while I was staying at the hotel.

Really nice staff, especially at the reception. They are very welcoming, helpful, and attentive. The breakfast is also quite filling. I preferred the option with the omelette, though. You can tell that they invested in the facilities, despite what the surrounding community may look like. It's been a while since I stayed at a hotel with a bed that was really comfortable. The bathroom is really spacious and modern, and the air conditioning/management system is also prettier good. There are atm machines, supermarkets, pharmacies, and restaurants, etc. within walking distance (15 mins or so). It also helps that the L8/8A bus runs along there. The bus stop is 4 mins from the hotel, and using Patoko cab service (app in store) is affordable/more or less reliable (8 euros was the highest I paid to get to points in the centre.) That ride is about 25 min

Even though it is smoke-free in the rooms, when people smoke from their balcony, it feels their neighbours room with the terrible smoke. I didn't appreciate waking up to that in the middle of the night Unless I missed it, it was surprising that there was no safe for valuables. It is also worrying because the sign with rules posted in the room says the hotel isn't considered. You're forced to take those valuablesī with you. That's not really convenient. The tv system could do with an upgrade. Didn't really use it much because there was no English content. Albanian and Spanish content were normal.

We had a very pleasant one-night stay at this hotel, perfect for our needs before starting our trip. Despite our very late arrival, the reception staff were incredibly accommodating. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and made the check-in process remarkably quick and smooth, which was greatly appreciated after a long journey. Our room was perfectly adequate in size, and the bathroom truly stood out – the shower was impressively large and offered fantastic water pressure, making for a very refreshing experience. The breakfast provided was also very nice, offering a good selection that fully met our needs for that morning.

It's worth noting that the hotel is located a bit further from the city center. However, this was not an issue for us as we had a rental car, making transportation easy. For future guests, we would recommend this hotel if you have your own transportation. If you plan to rely solely on public transport or prefer to be within immediate walking distance of central attractions, you might consider a hotel closer to the city center.

The hotel had an amazing view and offered the most comfortable bed. We really felt welcome and taken care of. Higly recommended!

This is a fantastic hotel, and its location outside the city centre is a real plus—it offers a peaceful escape from the noise, smoke, and pollution of the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. One of them even helped us set up the Spurs vs Man Utd UEL final in our room, which we really appreciated! The breakfast options were also great, and the hotel isn’t too far from TEG if you’re looking to do some retail shopping. If you’re after a quiet and relaxing stay, this hotel is perfect. It truly deserves its high rating—if I could give it 11/10, I would!

The only downside is the lack of halal restaurants nearby, which meant we had to travel into the city for halal food. The location is also quite far from the city centre, but that’s understandable and wasn’t a big issue for us.

We had to stay at Hotel Bonsai due to a missed flight, and we only wanted to relax and calm down, which is exactly what this hotel provided. The room and bathroom were very clean overall, and they were well stocked with toothbrushes and toiletries, as well as great quality towels. The queen sized bed was very comfortable, and the thick cotton sheets and multiple choices of pillows would probably suit even the pickiest of sleepers. The breakfast was outstanding - we were greeted with tasty food options, coffee and juice served by the very patient staff.

I had a wonderful stay at Bonsai Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tirana. The atmosphere of the hotel was peaceful and welcoming, with a modern, clean design that made me feel right at home. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure I had a pleasant experience. The housekeeping services were top-notch, maintaining the rooms to a high standard. The breakfast was also a highlight—large and tasty, with a variety of options to start the day off right. The location is very convenient—close to TEG Mall and just a short drive from the city center. It's also only 100 meters from the highway, making it easy to access and explore the museums and attractions in Tirana, all while being away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds. I truly appreciated the hospitality and would definitely stay here again on my next visit!

I loved it. Great, friendly staff, wonderful view to the mountains from the balcony, beds are comfy, the breakfast is of great quality. They even made us the breakfast a bit early, at 7.20, so we could head to the airport on time. They printed our boarding passes and also speak good English. There is a good supermarket close by and a big park short drive away. There is parking both in the front and under the building. I would definitely stay here when in Tirana.

The odor from the bathroom, that tried to enter the bedroom too. The room was quite small if you have big luggage. We didn’t, so not a problem for us.
