Card payment was not allowed. I had local Albanian currency. The bill was given in euro and converted again back to local currency at very high exchange rate which was unfair. I had to pay more than what was listed

Nice and clean guesthouse in Tirana, located near some shops, coffee shops and restaurants 20-minute away from Skanderberg square (by foot). The reception staff was very friendly and ready to help. You can get some breakfast for 2€ and it’s possible to wash and dry clothes. Wifi available in the bedroom. There is a supermarket right next to it.

Curtains on beds would be nice to have some privacy (especially when people come late and turn on the light).

Nice stay, as always! Good, clean place amongst all its qualities, and, above all, nice people and atmosphere .. :)

In terms of price and location. The hostel is conveniently situated near many coffee shops, with a supermarket just outside the gate. It's only a 15-minute walk to Skanderbeg Square and quite easy to find.

The smell of cigarettes from the chill-out area wafts into the rooms. The toilets could benefit from more regular cleaning, ideally a few times a day. Privacy curtains for each bed would be a great addition. Additionally, the beds should be checked regularly, as some have become loose, causing the top bunk to be squeaky and shaky, which might be disturbing to some guests.

They invested in mattresses and the wooden frames were very sturdy and comfortable. The staff were excellent, empathetic and very helpful. The reception kindly swapped some euros into Albanian cash for me when I arrived.

I think it's just the hostel culture around the area but I was wary about my valuables, as there was no key to the room or to the hotel building, but they had 24hr reception. The lockable wooden cupboards were decent but not the same as a metal safe (but i didn't ask if they had extra options so this may be in me). Overall, I still felt safe enough and would recommend it as accommodation and stay again in the future.

The staff are a wonderful team! Greta was a pleasure to meet the first day , I requested a few extra things and she so was kind to go the extra mile! Melissa is full of life and they both make a great team. They work around the clock to keep the hostel clean , they do laundry services and the best part is .. at night we all have a good nights sleep from 10pm onwards! The hostel is quiet. Next door is Big market supermarket, the bakery is a few metres from the hostel , along with the fresh vegetable market ! The hostel with literally the best beds !! Amazing location in the heart of Tirana . All the best !

Mosaic is centrally located with easy access to many of the tourist attractions in Tirana — along with bars, cafes, and restaurants. The bed and rooms are comfy; the daily breakfast is something you can’t miss; and the staff is so incredibly kind and fun that you will never want to leave! Mosaic is a top hostel.

Mosaic Home is VERY clean (yes, the bathroom too!). Over the past five months, I’ve traveled to four countries and stayed in multiple hostels. Mosaic Home was by far the cleanest—especially impressive given the super-low price per night compared to places I stayed in Montenegro, Turkey, and Moldova. The kitchen is spacious and comfortable, even for 2–3 people cooking at the same time. The terrace is great—I spent hours there working on my laptop. The staff are friendly and actually spend time with the guests, creating a nice little community of travelers, many of whom stay for over a month. And they play really good, diverse music! Oh, and the cats in the yard are sooo cute! ☺️

This isn’t really a problem with the hostel itself, but rather a tip for digital nomads working remotely for American companies, meaning evening/night shifts in Albanian time. The common room with sockets closes at 10 PM, so if you're staying in a shared dorm (4–8 beds) rather than a private room and need to take calls at night, you’ll have to figure out a solution. I worked inside the dorm while others were sleeping, but when I needed to take a call, I moved to the terrace. That worked fine for me, even in February—the weather was relatively cold but not too bad. Just make sure you have an extension cord if your laptop battery might die, though setting it up could be a bit tricky.

The staff of the hostel were so kind and helpful! They helped us with everything we needed or wanted to know. The hostel itself looked fine (albeit not exactly like the photos) and the room was comfortable. We had a great stay!

The shower could have used a squeegee or something to mop up the water that went everywhere during showering. The parking garage next to the hostel is a whole other story, but luckily, staff from the hostel was great and helped us every time we had troubles with it.

We liked that the location of this hostel is close to the center. Also the price of this room was even lower than two places in a shared room. We liked that the room had a door because the shared rooms did not have one Also as a bonus you will find two cats in the hostel courtyard

There was a moment when the light in the room came on in the middle of the night. And we didn't turn anything on or off. It felt like someone else turned on the light and it stayed on for 10 minutes. I hope it wasn't a poltergeist hahaha :)
