Marcelo was very nice and accommodating the a/c wasn’t working he provided the fan and was very helpful.

Atilio was condescending and not nice at all he is the reason I’m giving a low score on staff. He needs more training and be equal to all guests.

The hotel is a converted old house. It has ample patios with natural light, and the rooms are just accessed from them. I recommend asking for the superior rooms unless you go alone. The standards are smaller and have no hot bathtubs. In general, the hotel is very clean and nearby to the Casa Rosada, Puerto Madero, and the famous Feria de San Telmo. I recommend visiting on Sundays and eating at the Mercado de San Telmo.

The rooms could benefit from more light and the pool in the upper floor is quite small and not usable unless the temperature is really high.

We liked the fact that the hotel in San Telmo was ideal for the activities that were near to the hotel. The venues we did find were very vibrant indeed, especially the Red Door club. The local eateries and other establishments in San Telmo were really welcoming. The Market was brilliant for food and we enjoyed a lovely steak sandwich break at the parilla in the market which was also great value for money and very tasty indeed.

Despite the fact that Booking.com stated that Breakfast was included in the stay it turned out to be not the case when we arrived at the hotel.

The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The building was safe and secure. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was soft and comfortable. The patios--many patios--were attractive and pleasant to spend time in. An empty in-room refrigerator helped us store snacks. A water bottle was given as an arrival gift and we were encouraged to refill it as often as needed from a chilled water dispenser on the main floor. We cooled off in the rooftop pool. The tables in the breakfast area are available for guests to use during the day. There was even a library with windows overlooking the street. Wonderful and historic location for exploring Buenos Aires.

The location was very good and close to many of the attractions and events in San Telmo. The staff was very professional and at the front desk everyone was helpful and took care of any immediate needs. Breakfast was consistently good with a variety of choices and the breakfast was outstanding and kept the area neat and clean. The housekeeping staff was very thorough and on time.

The steps lead up to the swimming pool need a handrail for safety.

Great location old style hotel felt very Argentinian. Some variation in rooms first room we were given was very small no space for luggage.second room lots more space. Bedroom clean bed comfortable Pool not clean very black wasn’t a priority for us as we were there to see Buenos Aries

The reception/breakfast area nicely decorated with modern paintings and pieces of artwork. The staff very caring and helpful. We spent 7 nights altogether and enjoyed it very much. The patios are great to linger on , enjoy some vino and meet other fellow travelers. The front desk guys will arrange airport transfers at reasonable rates , local taxi , etc . Be cautious with Mauro though , he tried to trick me into getting an expensive transfer to the ferry terminal, regular taxi costs a fraction of " transfer " service .

This very friendly hotel apparently has a problem providing clean and good quality towels . On my first day I got not so clean towel with three holes . Then another towel with large hole . No after shower floor mat available unless you ask for . Also , the rooms would benefit greatly from having one good light fixture .

Staff most helpful. Great walkable location for site seeing. Near bus lines. Secure lobby. They held our luggage after we checked out. Safe in room. Very clean. Good shower. Breakfast offered Eggs “made to order” , but otherwise breakfast was standard fare.

We were there during very hot weather. The air conditioning couldn’t keep up. We didn’t go in the rooftop pool because it didn’t look too clean. Limited fresh fruit at breakfast.

The staff was truly excellent! We were checked in by the most friendly, welcoming, and cheerful Attilio, who settled us in and helped us with our inquiry for the sightseeing. Marcello helped us with the heating in the room. And Alberto the front manager made sure we were looked after by the team. Georgina the weekday breakfast lady was friendly and caring. She did not just do her work but made sure we were well taken care of every morning with her. The cleaning ladies were also friendly and courteous. The room was spacious and well decorated. Lots of storage space too. The bathroom was also very spacious. The breakfast room was also pleasant. A coffee machine is provided for the guests to use. There was also a very nice sitting room/library on the mezzanine floor. The location is terrific. Right in the middle of the old town Sal Telmo. Several shops and eating places around. Close to the Market. And close to a subway station.

Only one small thing. The weekend breakfast lady (who shall not be named) did not refill the food even when we had over 20 minutes of the breakfast hours left (but was very eager to get our room number). When I tried to ask for more food (very politely and in a friendly manner) several times, she either did not try to understand me (she doesn't speak English) or willfully ignored me. At the end when I went into the kitchen with my plate and pointed at the boxes of cheese and ham, she tried to tell me that the breakfast was finished. I had to show her the watch so she could see that there were 8 minutes left before she grudgingly opened the box and gave me food at last.
