The gentleman checking us in was extremely nice and helpful. We were able to check in early which we greatly appreciated. Despite not speaking English (and I do not expect every small hotel to have staff that speaks English), we were able to communicate everything that was necessary and he made a point to say a very friendly good-bye to us as we left. The building appears to be undergoing renovations and it has a lot of old world charm, with a lot of exposed brick, wooden beams and wood floors. The room was good sized, with the bed upstairs and a living/lounging area downstairs. I appreciated the use of a code for both the front door and the room. We had plenty of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner nearby.

Our room was missing some of the amenities that were included in the listing, namely a hairdryer (most importantly), bathrobe and slippers. There were coffee cups in the room but no way to make coffee. Also, I can't be sure from the pictures and description but I think the room we were given (Suite 105) was a Junior Suite and we paid for a Superior Suite. We did not mind the size of our room but hoping we did receive what we paid for. There was a small room off the lobby that looked like it could have been a bar but it was never staffed. It would be a nice place to get coffee in the morning, or a drink in the afternoon, to bring back to your room. (make use of the coffee cups ;) )

The location was great, within walking distance of many bars, restaurants, and tango shows. We even walked down to the Mujeres bridge. The neighborhood is safe, with lots to do nearby. The building itself is beautiful, lovingly restored with a lot of renovations, original ceilings, and very cool rooms with two level lofts. Our room even had 2 bathrooms! Good for friends or families due to the extra bathroom and room layout. VERY comfortable beds and great water pressure in the shower. There is a small communal kitchen if guests need it and a little cafe in the lobby.

The price we were showed on booking was not the same price they wanted to charge us by a large margin, however we came to an agreement with the staff and in the end were happy with what we paid for such a nice room.

-Very friendly and super helpful staff at the reception, in particular Agustin, who was always there to help (i.e. to change euros to pesos, print documents needed for a trip...) and give advice when needed. -Great location in a nice neighborhood (many bars and restaurants), within walking distance of Plaza de Mayo and the city center. -The room is very big and cosy, with a lot of space and two bathrooms. It also includes a safe to put your belongings. -Very clean room. -There is also a shared kitchen in the hotel (I did not use it, but it can always be useful).

I loved everything about my stay there! It's not possible to have breakfast at the hotel, which can be a negative point for some people, but that is clearly mentioned on Booking, so no surprises there. ;-)

Great place in the heart of one of the most atmospheric areas of San Telmo. Despite the huge number of bars and restaurants around, the place is very quiet! Perfect for relaxing. Comfortable large beds, high ceilings, bathroom in the room, equipped shared kitchen, good Wi-Fi, great and helpful staff. Everything a traveler needs to enjoy beautiful Buenos Aires. I highly recommend this place!

Location was good - there's a wonderful restaurant about 5 mins walk away that you absolutely must try - they do wonderful food and wine pairings - BocaNariz. The room was large and everything was nicely decorated. Bed and pillows comfy. Didn't eat there so can't tell you anything about the food. Service was exemplary and people couldn't have been nicer. Luiz who works in the rooftop bar is a fabulous cocktail maker - get him to make you pisco sours - that man really knows his pisco and his flavours!

I thought it was a little overpriced - I stayed in a hotel round the corner with the same star rating and thought that it was nicer than this one. Rooftop bar is small but does have an outdoor area. Note that if you order an uber to the hotel, it will take you to the wrong street for some reason. However, the hotel is the next street - I had to ask at the coffee place on the corner as I had no data so bit of a panic but turns out it was easy to find.

I loved this hotel - it's a gorgeous old building and the rooms we had were mezzanine so you have a lounge downstairs and with a shower and toilet and then a bedroom with bath, shower and toilet upstairs. We had balconies that over looked the street so occasionally it was a bit noisy but nothing too bad. The bed was extremely comfortable. Staff were really helpful (thanks Augustine for all your help!) The location is awesome - you absolutely must to go the Mercado for dinner, which is about 5 mins walk from the hotel. You can also walk to the centre of town and the port in 20 minutes from there. Also, there is a fabulous tango show only 5 mins walk from there (ask Augustine - he can tell you which one). For me, this is the most atmospheric part of BA and it feels more traditional than other areas. There's also a lovely roof terrace available - weather wasn't good enough for us to use when we were there but would be wondeful in warmer weather.

Water pressure was low.

We were not able to make our flight and a last-minute stay, and they were able to accommodate us late at night, and I was totally surprised how nice the place was. Super cute, great layout, comfortable bed. Augustin was so helpful and kind with everything we needed. I would certainly recommend this to other travelers, as well as I plan on returning.

Lots of stairs to get up to our room. No one available to help us bring up the luggage...Hard on my 69 year old husband...

The location of this property is brilliant. You want to be within walking distance of restaurants, bars and shops then this is the place for you. The room we booked had a small balcony overlooking the cobblestone street and we enjoyed it so much. The bed was comfy, with an ensuite bathroom, and another smaller bathroom down stairs. The lovely Augustin will greet you on arrival and is very helpful. 10/10!!
