Centrally located hostel with great vibes. A good mix of young and old come here together and share good chats, tips and travel stories. I booked a bed in a shared bedroom. The room was spacious and comfortable, it was cleaned every day. I enjoyed very much the common area and the terrace with the great views over the city. The kitchen serves good food at reasonable prices. There are also evenings with live music and two very cute dogs that love to receive pets from the guests. The staff is super helpful and gladly gives you tips for activities in/around El Calafate. Can fully recommend!

The living room of the hostel is amazing - it is such a beautiful place. Also the offered food until late in the night is a hugh plus (if you get home late after a long excursion). Also the staff is very fruendy and they always had a good advice. We also used the laundry service. The clothes were afterwards clean and smelled very good. I think as a backpaper (who might want a bit of social interaction) but also for people travelling in groups who appreciate this view, it is a must!

Beds are a bit on the harder side. Also walls were relatively thin in the wing we were staying. Meaning, if you are a very noise sensitive sleeper bring earplugs or chose another accomodation.

Different common areas which were very good and overlooking the lake from afar. My dorm was quite far from the common area which was good cause it was quiet and I could sleep well at night. Hot shower that honestly was so far one of the best showers I have had during my travel in Latin America. When you open the window in the room you can see flowers and and some other nature which was nice. Staff was nice and helpful and spoke English. I booked few tours with them which were good (I recommend the tour to Estancia Cristina!).

Some nights people were shouting in the corridor where all the rooms were and it was echoing and I am pretty sure all sleeping guests could hear it. It would be good if the hostel can enforce curfew and remind people not to shout in the middle of the night in the corridor when obviously a lot of people are sleeping. My dorm didn’t have any curtains for the beds which made it less private. Also, toilet’s door was super noisy every time someone opened and closed it, which can wake you up every time needs to use it. But none of these things was bad enough to take off points!

Bathrooms (and showers) in the lobbies and rooms. Eggs included in breakfast with coffee, toast, cereal, tea, apples, oranges, and alfajores! So much helpful tour information. Message board to find other travelers with the same route/taxi/schedule. Exceptional view and very easy, safe walk to town and lake.

Unfortunately one of the hostel staff said he booked me on the 9am shuttle to the glacier but found out I actually wasn’t booked after it was too late. Luckily there was room on the 12pm shuttle, but it was my only day on calafate, so I didn’t get to wander town or stroll around the lake as planned. It was fine for me, but there was no barrier on the top bunk beds so if you move when you sleep you could roll off.

Really helpful staff. Really nice and friendly atmosphere in the hotel with the space designed in a way you can solo relax or mingle with other travellers. And what a view! Lots of spaces and zones to hang out inside and out. Bed were comfortable and I felt like I got a good nights sleep! We even had shower products! Hostel has a full travel service with very fair prices. Breakfast was really good- a good base variety! We loved getting food and a glass of wine in the evening! A great hostel! You should 💯 stay here! It’s so popular and was fully booked out throughout our stay .

Maybe it could be good to have a few more vegan options at dinner.

The hostel looks exactly how it looks like on photos. Every day you would be embraced by this stunning mountain and lake views. The staff were super friendly, responsive and took good care of your requests. They also have laundry service and you can get your laundry back on the same day, which was perfect. You can even exchange money here. It saved me a lot of time. I met a group of lovely people here and easily found my travel partners to the glaciers and to El Chaltén. A big thumb to the team. ¡Muchas gracias!

Quite frankly the best hostel I've ever stayed at. The view was CRAZY, the staff exceptional, the facilities brilliant. I had originally booked elsewhere then my boyfriend (who'd stayed here a week before us) recommended this place so highly we simply had to cancel one reservation and book this instead, ignoring the slighly higher cost (honestly, only a fiver more each). I'm so glad we did. They even organise shuttles to the Glaciers for a much lower cost than bus companies, and they come with a guide there, and then organise something similar to go back to the airport for about 10K pesos each. I so wish we had an extra day in Calafate just to enjoy the hostel... It was sad to leave. Incredible incredible stay.

Can't think of anything. You're silly if you go anywhere else.

the best hostel i've been to during my trip to argentina. all the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. they quickly resolved any issues or problems i had! the hostel itself is conveniently located, with easy access to the main street. i would also like to mention the comfort of the accommodation and the delightful common area - it was a pleasure to spend my evenings by the fireplace, enjoying the stunning panoramic views of the mountains and petting dogs (which are lovely here). hope to come back one day!

Great big hostel! The facilities are top notch, great double private room, clean and the beds were comfortable. The ensuite bathroom was also well appointed and clean. The common spaces are great to eat, work and relax - the views are incredible. The location is perfect, 10-15 min walk from both the bus terminal and the city center. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. It's a large hostel so the socializing vibe is limited as there were lots of groups and couples but still possible to meet people if you're social or join group tours. The price for double private room is very high but fair for Argentina right now and of course in the peak tourist season. Not great value for money, but definitely meets the expectations and I was happy with my choice.
