Location is so convenient. Right across the train station, and the pub is just down the stairs. Bathrooms are clean, and they are also sectioned across the areas, so you dont need to flock to one part of the building to go to bathroom. Coffee/tea is provided in the lounge areas, and they have 2 lounges. The rooms are clean as well, and my room had a huge window. I can order food from the pub and bring it to my room. The hotel is also close to other food/cafe shops, some of them open at 6-7am. Public transport is more of the issue of the city, but the hotel itself is close with some bus stops. Very close to railway museum, and ... sort of walkable distance to the city centre (took me more than 30 mins, but it's ok). Noise was surprisingly low, and I was staying when they have event. Maybe because I stayed at the back wing rather than the front? The staff are also friendly in helping answer the questions you have on visiting the city.

They open the doors at 12pm. My train was quite early, so i have nowhere to wait or drop by luggage. They do provide keys to access the premise off office hours, but you can only get them after you checkin, which is after 12pm.

The room itself and shower room were all very clean. The shower room designs are so bright and modern. We really enjoyed our stay here. It was very convenient having the pub downstairs for dinner (food & cocktails were very tasty) and the welcome note came with breakfast recommendations which was very useful. The filtered water and coffee machine available in the hotel lobby were such a thoughtful addition, this was the most hydrated we’ve been all trip haha. Our room also had a fridge with tea and coffee making facilities which I wasn’t expecting, it was nice to finish the day off with a cup of tea in our comfy bed after being exposed to the winter air all day on our motorcycle. We would definitely stay here again.

I stayed for one night and loved it. The Victoria is a short walk from the train station which is very convenient. It’s got a cute, quirky vibe and has been fully renovated. The room was large, clean and very comfortable with a large TV. Mine had a shared bathroom, but there were plenty of bathrooms available and I never even saw another guest. All of the bathrooms were modern, beautifully renovated and spotlessly clean. The shower was great. I had dinner at the pub downstairs and it was excellent. All of the staff were extremely friendly. As a budget option, I would highly recommend the Victoria – it exceeded all my expectations and I really enjoyed my stay.

I initially booked a single room and it was TINY. But the staff were very helpful and I was able to upgrade to a queen room for an extra $15. So even if you are travelling solo, I would recommend getting a double room.

I was greeted by a friendly lady named Mel(?) who made the check-in process really easy and gave me an option to park my motorcycle out the back, off the street. The bar and food was easily accessible. The food was great on both nights I stayed, and there were plenty of choices. The room was extremely neat and tidy and the bed was comfy. The shared bathroom facilities were very clean and modern - maybe recently renovated? Also, there were well stocked tea and coffee making facilities on both levels. I really enjoyed my stay there.

To my mind, there was nothing to improve.

Amazing place to stay in Bathurst, amazing foods and excellent facilities, the staff go above and beyond to provide an exceptional experience. Well priced and value all round this is a beautifully maintained and run historic place. The bathroom facilities are unbelievabbley beautiful, so clean it blew us away the level of care daily the facilities receive. If you want the cleanest most sanitary environment to stay in this is the place.

I loved the size of the rooms despite them being rooms attached to a pub. They were a good enough size and were clean and comfortable. There was milk available and some glasses and cold water in the fridge. The rooms were very quiet after 9pm, which we appreciated. Liked how there was a common area with a fridge,microwave (with working screen), and some water. The cleanliness and size of the shared bathrooms. The ample supply of towels and bath mats

The fact that when I turned the fridge down it defrosted onto the carpet :( This was due to the little freezer being half full of ice. I don't like shared bathrooms but for 1 nights stay it was quite good. Did not like how the shower leaked and you were asked to clean up after yourself, so despite having a bath mat that I could of used twice, I had to use 2 because I needed to clean up the water on the floor for the next person.

Fantastic location can walk everywhere (the rail museum was way more interesting than I expected as someone who isn't into trains), the high ceilings in the bedroom were fabulous and food downstairs was great. Although it was pretty noisy downstairs being Saturday night we couldn't hear it at all from our room so soundproofing is good. We got a room with its own bathroom but I was surprised how nice the shared bathrooms were and we saw inside a couple of those bedrooms without ensuite in morning and they're also great and huge so don't be put off.

The people were helpful and friendly even the bar staff, assisted when I couldn't get into the building, at first, using the key. I am an older woman and sometimes I am made to feel like a silly old woman, and that's not the case. I still work full time and travel with my work. The facilities have been upgraded and are really tastefully done. there were other people on the floor, and we were placed at a distance from each other which worked really well. I think this shows though, how thoughtful the staff are.

The band on Friday night. The t- shirts (which my daughter will be picking one up for me) except that I want a bar- staff pink one. The beautifully accommodating stance that you'll be sending me my (forgotten in the room) computer, as quick as a person could want.

The limited supply of (free by the way, so thank you very much) milk, to go with the (also free) coffee and tea (thanks again, tea is my life saver, especially hung over after my daughters wedding)

Clean. Room was heated when I arrived late. Key was made available in a lock box. The bathrooms are shared but they made a concerted effort that it was kept clean and was easy for guests to keep clean (and dry)

The lock box needs some instructions please. It took me a while to work it out. A small luggage holder or low table in the room for luggage would be super helpful. I ended up opening luggage and sorting it out on the floor which I don't usually like to do.
