I liked the warm, informal friendliness of the place. Its central location is excellent. Value for money is good because the accommodation, though basic, had all the facilities we expected with a couple of nice surprises. The staff were very friendly and accommodating regarding our requests. Breakfast and dinner on the balcony were great.

One of the men's showers ran for 10 minutes cold before I switched to the other. It worked perfectly straight away. I think someone had exchanged the cold and hot designations on the first shower.

Great to be back at these premises for a longer stay further to my initial reside here in October last year. Jarrod is ever always a cheerful and welcoming host, while the other staff are as equally helpful, friendly, and just as accommodating. The rooms are spacious and warm further to heaters being present, while the chunkier towels and larger soaps that are provided are much appreciated. Great in house menu too, while the melt-in-your-mouth chips in particular are to die for! Thanks Jarrod and staff! :-)

The absence of internet facilities is the only downer in the case of a stay here, even if on this occasion, the internet access - albeit seemingly via another wireless provider? - was somewhat mildly better than at anytime on the previous occasion. Other than that (while this is a minor quibble), it would be great if management could fix and/or put locks on some of the bathroom doors, as well as ensuring that the lights in these areas fully work.

Classic really well run Aussie pub accommodation. Have stayed here for years. Always the right price for a fan/fan heater room with clean piping hot showers. Coffee and Wheatbix thrown in for brekky with good pub meals for dinner. 100m to Aldi, Coles and Woolies. Walk to the rail station easily in 15 minutes

Aircon is always better but it's a fantastic price and comfortable

Close proximity to what I travelled to Bathurst for. I came over to get a photo of the steam engine at the railway station as it's class has significance to my late father. Meals at the hotel, great and the staff on duty very pleasant and made one feel welcome

Not a complaint but having a cold shower at 6.30am took me by surprise

Great location , lots of off street parking , excellent food from the restaurant , a very relaxed atmosphere . The room is basic , but very comfortable bed . Its a very very good value for money option in Bathurst . Will book there again .

(South) Female Shower door needed obscure contact paper inside & shower sprayed everywhere but where needed Replace shower head or clean spray holes. South female WC did not lock. Needs to be fixed. (I work in floor plans - fire services)

Unpretentious no nonsense country pub, with this being one of the better regional accommodation experiences I've had - despite the absence of any internet access. Was appreciative of the effort made to provide tea and coffee facilities within the allocated kitchen space along with the breakfast cereal and other dining accoutrements.

Hot water in bathroom none existent, ran water in hand basin 10 minutes no result. No coffee or tea facilities in room. No air conditioning in room.

Management, staff (including chefs), and locals made me feel I was a regular. The hotel had a country pub vibe, and I extended my stay. Love the location, too, as it was within walking distance to everything I required. Love this pub!!

I bought breakfast up the road. The location was good for attending the service. The Knickerbocker is a bit closer though.

Somebody broke the vanity tap fitting during the night. It had some running repairs in the morning and was usable both times I went.
