The room was just the right size for my wife and I for a short stay. It was very clean and tidy and was well stocked with tea and coffee making equipment and supplies as well as cold water available in a refillable bottle through the main office. It was great to have heating available in the room on such a cold night and the bed was very comfortable. Also being able to park our car directly in front of our room was a big help with unloading and loading our luggage

We have nothing to complain about as Mercure Goulburn lived up to all our expectations for a short stay and the staff were very helpful in recommending suitable dining which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Quiet slice of class. The front receptionist (Sophie?) was extremely pleasant and only too happy to help sort out our check-in and answer my questions. The bar (& restaurant) joining the reception was a bonus. After 8hours in the road, with the kids, a solitude beverage in that comfortable lounge was really fantastic and peaceful.

The breakfast room service order was incorrect; they doubled one of our orders instead of providing the two separate breakfasts, but it was still of reasonable quality. I didn't actually pay attention if they overcharged us for the extra items that were included... Didn't care too much at the time, but others would. Beds are almost too soft, you kind of sink into them.

Our stay was what we wanted to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and my husband's 71th birthday. This was our last stop before going home, so I booked dinner and breakfast, we had a wonderful time with all staff, and many thanks to Kerry for making our stay special, with her wonderful service and great smile. Only one thing at the end, We asked for a late check-out for 11am to have a sleep before our drive home, which I ask after finishing breakfast, all was good, until we were disturbed 10.30am with knock and the door open from house keeping. The property is located close to the Freeway and the main township. It is an ideal stopover hotel with excellent amenities and well-appointed rooms. The hotel restaurant is excellent. The staff are attentive, friendly and helpful. Our buffet breakfasts were fantastic and the dinner we had one evening was very good. Our room was spacious, clean and provided all the technology and comforts one would require.

The property would benefit from an in-house gym and swimming pool as there is very little that the surrounding area provides in the way of recreation. In order to access local shops and cafes you need to drive at least ten minutes and once there, there is very little to tempt a tourist. Rooms would also benefit from a lounge area, a greater range of tea and coffee facilities, and more options in the mini bar and room service.

Lots of room, comfortable bed, big bathroom, but small and ineffective fridge for road travellers, no freezer component and a small fridge footprint. Thankfully the staff were able to place all of our frozen items in the large freezer in the kitchen, collected the next morning for our travels. Food options at the Mecure as well as the traditional named fast food options surrounding the venue.

the fridge size, too small, didn't allow for us to store our collected items. It is a bit out of the centre of town so access to that is by your car or taxi/uber.

The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and spacious. Also a very quiet convenient location. We will be definitely back.

As I entered the receptionist behind the counter was very curt to begin with, advising me that my booking through booking.com. was not there. After several attempts and with an unfriendly tone she continue to insist it was not there. I responded with a firm insistence that it should have been and finally she found it. After that brief moment on anxiety everything was fine. She must have been having a bad day. All the other staff we encountered were friendly.

Spacious, clean and comfy

We don't like being allocated to rooms "out the back". We prefer rooms near to reception or at least in the main body of the property, admittedly they are the same & it's less busy "out the back". Reception staff suggested we request this in future. A heater in the bathroom is necessary in winter and the floor tiles in the bathroom are slippery - wrong tiles used here (same in all rooms??). We also noticed some "bodgy" repairs to wall tiles in the bathroom, not a good look particularly since the property was originally built so well aside from the floor tiles I mentioned

We were a group of 4 and stayed in a family suite, room 113. We arrived on Sunday afternoon so we didn't eat at the hotel. The hotel is clean and spacious, with fully equipped kitchen facilities, air conditioning in each bedroom, mattresses of moderate firmness, and pillows of the right height. It is not far from the town center, with supermarkets and McDonalds a few dozen meters away, making it very convenient for food, accommodation and transportation. We come here every January to participate in the annual Taralga Rodeo event, and staying here is the best choice.

Nothing bad, just suggest that the hotel should build a hotel sign on the highway. When we came from Sydney, the GPS showed that we had arrived at the destination, but because the environment next to the highway was messy, we turned around twice before finding the entrance. The microwave on the refrigerator is a bit high, if you are not careful, it is easy to tip over when taking out food, causing spills and burns.

Lots of room, fabulous bathroom, lovely towels and pillows. Quiet. Excellent value for money. Perfect location for our travels.

My only complaint was that the fridge didn’t have a small freezer. On a road trip we always take an esky with milk and basics for convenience and so we have a few ice bricks we need to freeze overnight to keep things cold the next day. When we stay on our return journey i might ask at the desk if there’s any way this can be accommodated.
