Close to the town centre

No heating in the TV /lounge room which was quite difficult with the kids to watch or sit in the lounge room due to the extreme cold weather.

We loved the location. Was just out of the main busy streets of town. Easy free on street parking. Vicki in the office was lovely and very friendly!

The shower had mould in it, we were only provided with 4 towels but booked for 5. There was a hole in the roof which had a towel through it to stop the hole being open. The door has no guard on it and when raining the water comes in the front door. The pillows didn’t have protectors on this which makes us a little worried incase they don’t wash the pillows between each use. The kitchen sponge was a reuseable one for money guests and was a bit tatty. Toilet seat lid doesn’t sit properly so the lid keeps hitting you in back when sitting on the toilet.

Don't be fooled with what you see on the outside. I booked for 1 night as a budget-minded solo traveller on New Years Eve and found myself here. Everything inside is very modern. The communial showers are what you would expect at a 4-star hotel. The communial kitchen was very impressive with a functioning oven! I had room 10. King suite is very spacious and with everything you would need. Wifi speed around 4mb a second. The bed was very modern, perfectly firm, and had an amazing sleep from not hearing any noise, even though many stayed on this night. I would highly recommend this place for an overnighter or even a base to see all Goulburn has to offer.

The TV could have been a foot or so higher. It is the only thing I could find an issue with. Superficial really.

There was no spare toilet rolls - ran out on last morning, only 3 bowls for breakfast, no blinds in bedroom so street lights very bright, very thin blankets so cold at night and my pillow was like cotton wool balls - lumpy and non existent A rug in the lounge would make it more comfortable we could see it was still work in progress so hope it will be better next time we stay

the front door lock was not the best. When it's closed it looks open. It needs work as the door doesn't look fitted right.

The room is clean and modern with the most comfortable motel bed I have ever slept in.

I am disappointed in myself for not staying here 12 nights earlier. I thought the hotel was a working pub and did not want to have a noisy pub potentially keeping us awake on a Friday night. We did not know that the Exchange Hotel is only open for accommodation and not a pub. We stayed at another motel in Goulburn for around the same price, but it was far inferior to the Exchange Hotel. So do yourself a favour and stay here as it has been beautifully renovated and is excellent value for money.

It’s a classic Australian hotel, friendly staff, have a shared kitchen and common area. The prices in Goulburn are slightly higher one might expect due to the presence of a police academy. The hotel manager provided a free upgrade to a studio downstairs which was lovely

Good things: There is a shared kitchen which would be a really good thing for people to know about before they booked in. Very clean The bathrooms are share but there are separate men and women's facilities which is really good Easy free parking on the street

Very good location quiet and clean

Over the two week stay the room was never cleaned no new linen no bed change no rubbish removal as the oven never worked.

Thankyou for upgrading us to the apartment on the ground floor due to my difficulty in climbing stairs. And thanks also for providing me with a soft pillow. It was a well equipped apartment and the shower was amazing.
