We had an enjoyable stay. Buffet breakfast was great, good variety of food, juices and coffee. Food cooked well and clean. Clancy's and The Overflow have wonderful meal choices and the food is beautifully cooked and seasoned. Staff friendly, clean and tidy accomodation. Wonderful lake view, also nice and close to shops. Parking onsite. Despite the noise on wednesday night we would definitely recommend to stay here, we will be back again. About half hour drive from accomodation to thredbo or perisher.

Noisy on the wednesday evening till early morning in the pub area where the sound came through to the room in the accomodation. However it is mentioned on their site that noisy events are held at the location. All other nights were peaceful. No other negatives.

We had a great family stay at Banjo Paterson Inn. The location was perfect — close to shops, Woolworths, and restaurants, and just a short drive to the snowfields. Our room was clean, warm, and comfortable for the four of us, with enough space for the kids to relax. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We also appreciated the convenience of the on-site bistro, which had vegetarian options suitable for our family. The parking was easy and accessible, and everything we needed was nearby. Overall, it was a comfortable and family-friendly stay — we’d definitely come back again.

The only downsides were the stairs (no lift), and no microwave for quick meals. As there is no room service.Overall, a good stay and we’d come back again.

The breakfast was good. The rooms were clean. The location was good. Parking was limited but had an overflow area to park which was good. The restaurant and bar staff were friendly and welcoming

The showers in the room had a issue where you had to turn the tap to cold for a couple seconds and quickly move it to hot while running for water to actually run hot. Turning it on from the hot setting did not produce hot water. Had to use this maneuver. The receptionist staff were not very polite or welcoming. They did the job or fulfilled the task asked, but did not have a nice attitude.

A warm room with a comfy bed and hot shower which was very welcome after a day hiking. Lots of open hanging space in the room which was good for jackets/hiking gear etc. Free wifi was fast which is great for uploading and sharing photos. We particularly want to mention the excellent meals - we stayed two nights so had two brekkies and two dinners and all were consistently high quality with a wide range of choice and fast service - so no need to go out in the cold searching for somewhere to eat after a tiring day.

Nothing to complain about! It is a live music venue, which adds to the atmosphere, and they tell you that upfront so you have the option to ask for quieter rooms at the back or earplugs. We stayed in a lake-facing front room (which is over the bar/music source) and could hear but were not bothered by the music. Car parking is a bit random with a few different areas including some undercover spaces and overflow across the road, so a short trek to carry luggage but not a problem.

Parking was plentiful but it was busy so we parked in the overflow car park across the road. Check in process was easy, we were sent initial email with links to complete registration etc. which made check in a piece of cake! Room was nice and big with a king bed and a set of king single bunk beds (not used). Our bed was comfy with nice clean white sheets and warm doona. Room had aircon that was set to 16 degrees heat when we walked in and wasn't changed during our stay, it always felt cozy. Bathroom was clean and tidy and shower had awesome water pressure, towels were fluffy and clean. Nice balcony with views of the bowls club and lake etc. beyond. Modern bar fridge and tea/coffee facilities were nice and clean too and a nice touch with a couple of fancy Anzac biscuits that were yummy. Breakfast was included in our stay and was a beautiful buffet array of bread and spreads, yoghurts and cereals, and a full English breakfast if you chose the bacon, eggs, sausage, beans, hashbrowns, mushrooms, etc that were there for the taking. Excellent spread! Coffee machine was brilliant and made an array of coffees/chai's/teas or you could get one from the bar area if you chose to. We ate dinner in the bar area on an evening and the food was really nice. Calamari was tender and full of taste and the parmi was juicy and flavorsome, hats off to the chefs! Overall great stay, they had a drying room that had lockers in that we didn't use but would be awesome for drying wet clothes from the snow etc. and there was laundry facilities.

Our room was above the main bar area and on one of the nights there was a bit of noise from patrons using the bar area and your could her the music playing, but it only went till about 11pm.

Great stay! Ended up extending my trip another night. The newly renovated rooms were very comfortable and stylish. I requested a room on the top floor to avoid any issues with the noise from the dining spaces below. Had dinner at both the restaurants on-site and was very satisfied. Breakfast was also included in my booking and I was pleasantly surprised with what was offered. Also, the personal touches and detail in the room was great. Overall great vibe and atmosphere!

The onsite parking could be improved - small carpark with tight spaces + an overflow carpark across the road which doesn’t seem as secure. The new shower design tends to flood the bathroom floors, leaving wet towels to soak it up. Slight noise from the laundry facilities next to my room.

Upon arrival, check-in was easy and fast. I have completed the pre-arrival check-in online prior to arrival. At Front Desk/ Reception, the staff member explained the hotel facilities, breakfast times and where to be. When we went for breakfast the next morning, the lovely restaurant staff member explained what food and beverage was on offer. The room I booked was a queen room with loft with 2 single beds, with a balcony, facing the front of the property, overlooking Lake Jindabyne. The room was modern, plenty of space and a functional bathroom. The fridge was very handy for cold drinks and snacks. Room was cleaned daily. All the staff I spoke to were friendly. The property is in a great location, walking distance from restaurants, bars, shops and supermarket. I would book here again.

The water pressure for shower could be better, and the queen bed was a bit too soft for my liking.

The beds were very comfortable and we slept well. The room was also spacious and private. Parking was also very convenient, and the location in the center of Jindabyne was obviously outstanding. The breakfast buffet was also excellent, and was honestly a lot better than many hotel breakfasts I've had.

Since there's a bar downstairs, you just have to be prepared for the possibility of noise and/or cooking smells. It wasn't bothersome, and only happened occasionally. In spite of that, I'd still stay here if I visit the area again. It was just what we needed.

The room is modern, comfortable, and clean, with a fantastic view. Its location next to the town centre is ideal, and the lake view rooms offer a stunning outlook over the lake. Parking is conveniently located just behind the property. Breakfast was a highlight for us, and the on-site restaurants offer delicious meals at great value.

There were minor issues with a couple of room facilities. Additionally, it would be helpful to have more detailed information available in the room or on the website, such as breakfast times, for guests who may need reminders after check-in. That said, the staff were helpful.

This was our second stay at the Banjo Paterson Hotel, and it was just as enjoyable as the first. The hotel’s historic charm continues to make it a unique and welcoming place to stay. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well-equipped, providing everything we needed for a relaxing visit. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the area and access local attractions. We also want to highlight the breakfast, which was very nice and added a great start to our days. The staff were friendly and helpful, as always, making us feel welcome and attending to any needs we had. We would definitely recommend the Banjo Paterson Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay with a touch of history. It’s a great choice for both short and extended visits, and we look forward to returning again in the future.
