The view was amazing, beds very comfortable and rooms very warm. The staff were super friendly and quite helpful. Kitchen was clean and orderly.

Some basic cooking condiments in kitchen, like olive oil, salt, pepper, butter, tomato sauce would have been helpful. Some info about the Thredbo community shuttle bus to Friday Flats and town centre would have been nice and pretty basic, easy info for the front desk staff to know about, I'd say - but they did not have any info to offer on this. Would be nice if the lounge/common area had just a bright coat of paint and new curtains. Otherwise fine. It's just that it the colour and curtains look very tired and a bit depressing to hang around in.

YHA Thredbo is a fantastic place to stay, especially for solo travelers. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Thredbo, close to everything. The hostel has a warm, friendly vibe and a homely feeling that makes you feel welcome right away. The breakfast spread is simple but has everything you need to start your day right. I stayed in a shared 4-bed room, which was small but comfortable. For the price, it’s an absolute steal compared to other accommodations in the area. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a budget-friendly, convenient, and cozy stay!

There is only 1 unisex toilet for the ground floor with 1 unisex shower facility. While it is safe and secure, it did feel very limited. Luckily there was no wait time as it seems everyone's appetite to use the bathrooms were different due to different ski lessons and wake-up times. I do think my kids didn't like the fact there is no private toilet in the family room we booked. Just need to read the fine details more as there are family room / apartment with private bathroom for booking.

We loved the entire atmosphere of the place. Even though we didn’t have our own bathroom in the room, the common bathrooms were very clean. Same can be said about the common kitchen and living room. For traveling with friends this place is perfect - we hiked Mt. Kosciuszko and the beginning of the trail is only 10 minutes away from YHA!

The only thing that could be better is the parking. It was a little annoying to walk 10 minutes in the darkness from where we parked the car.

The staff were fantastic, answering all our questions even before we arrived. Shaun was particularly helpful. The room was small but serviceable. Everything was super clean and in good condition. I loved the lodge feel of the place. We went in summer, so there was no breakfast but tea and coffee were available. Even though we had hot weather and really cold weather the room was a very comfortable temperature. There is also a bbq on the balcony.

There was no oven. There is also no coffee plunger.

Julie the property manager was such a warm and welcoming person who made us feel so at home and cared for. She went above and beyond to care for everyone & create a sense of community in the communal spaces. My son and I were there for a mountainbike event and had a private room which was very comfy. Pristinely clean facilities and lovely views/location.

The YHA has a very friendly atmosphere. Small but adequate and well planned bedrooms. Very clean. Lovely crisp linens and soft towels. Tv in room you can sync your phone to. Comfy mattresses. The common areas are well planned, very comfy with amazing views. 2 great sized kitchens with everything you need easily accessible. Great location. Good price. Friendly staff that are very helpful. Will definitely stay again.

Loved that it was clean and comfortable. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Loved the communal kitchen and lounge area. Could also cast onto the TV to watch the Matilda’s game.

The fact that I had to share a bathroom. But it was clean and no problem really. Biggest drawback was lack of parking. But at least could park for 5 min to get the luggage into the room.

Great location and value for money. Of course, 4 random people in one room is potentially causing conflicts with sleeping times. But it was very acceptable. Kitchen and shared area are very pleasant. Very friendly and helpful staff. Safe and secure MTB indoor storage.

Great property in Threadbo. The facilities are clean, organised and comfortable. The staff are fantastic! They are up to date with events in Threadbo and can provide advice relating to where you get your skis and transport.

The village can be quiet in the evening during the off-season.
