Warm, friendly and homely atmosphere

Vegetarian menu was really just the same but without the meat - so after 3 nights of eating roast root vegetables for dinner, I was a bit bored, but I understand it is difficult to source different items on a mountain. It would be good to substitute the meat for something else eg tofu, falafel etc, rather than just omit it :)

We loved how cosy it was, it felt like a home away from home! With the open lounge room area, the games room and the rooms upstairs we loved how clean and open the property was, allowing for conversations to be had with other guests and the staff!

No comment, we absolutely loved the property and will be back next season!

The meals were exceptional. Three course dinner and hot breakfast with a great range of craft beers and local wines at very fair prices. Location was great and was able to ski out the door and onto the lift in 5 minutes. Really enjoyed the company of the hosts.

There were no aspects we didn’t like.

It's an extremely warm cozy cottage seating at an upslope of the hill. It's run by a friendly family, and we were overwhelmed by their hospitality every single day there. Mike and Kylie ran the hotel so well that we felt we were no longer individual guests in a hotel, rather members of a small community where people meet, chitchat, game and share. Both breakfast and dinner were provided, which were hearty, sumptuous and delicious. With this arrangement, we didn't have to worry about what to eat before and after the ski. The room is clean and with big comfortable bed. Although the Wifi signal was not so good at my room, after a long day ski, satisfying dinner and some games downstairs, we really didn't spend much time on our phone in our room. We were not really bothered by that. Every morning, my kids ski out to the ski facility, and afternoon, we took the oversnow transport (get the free transfer coupon from the hotel) back to the hotel. No sweat. My kids kept telling me they would like to go back and stay in the same hotel next time. I guess there's no stronger endorsement than this. Lol.

Wifi signal was not strong and slow.

Good location, community, warm room and dining/lounge area. Check-in and out was easy.

Food was more basic than during our previous stay but all inclusive.

Excellent food, plenty of room in the room and bathroom, perfect location and views, convenient to walks, staff were very helpful and Bruce could not have been more helpful and cheery. He set a great tone from the beginning to end of our stay.

Welcoming; communal; comfortable and exactly what I was looking for in a warm snowy lodge in the middle of the snow.
