Hudson Parap is located among apartment buildings and about a 5-10 minute walk from an array of shops and restaurants. We arrived on a Saturday night at 9pm and it was a ghost town. Even the nearby tavern’s kitchen was closed. We ended up driving about 15 mins away to a fast food Mexican”ish” place that closed at 10 pm. The Hudson offers generous discounts to many local restaurants. We had breakfast at Laneway Cafe - a winner with 20% off. The Hudson itself is primarily longer stay residents. Our late arrival meant we got in just as the reception was getting ready to close but we received a warm welcome and lots of information. The room was much as we expected. The downside - the room Safe didn’t work and there was no hot water in the morning - stone cold! The pillows were torture. Our stay was short. Would I stay again? Maybe for the proximity to Fannie Bay, the airport and Parap Village.

No Hot water was a total bummer in this warm climate after a day of travel. The pillows made me grab my robe to use instead. Safe didn’t work which is a concern in Australia for travellers.

The staff were exceptional. They were friendly , reliable, approachable and pro-active in helping us settle in and find things to do. The beds were comfortable, the shower had lots of hot water and the laundry facilities were free which is a real asset when touring the Top-end with the heat. The kitchen facilities were also good.

While the girls at the desk were always happy to stock up supplies, only having one small body wash per unit was insufficient. There were also issues with too few teabags and coffee.

a great smaller hotel apartment, adjacent to Parap market! ( a huge bonus), free parking, close to coffeeshop, bakery and a small supermarket, about 7 mins drive to cbd, 5mins to casino and Mindil night market. located in a quieter neighbourhood, leafy suburb, not far from cbd. an apartment with daily service, except sunday, the cleaners were doing great job, every day the room/kitchenete/bathroom were spotlessly cleaned and amenities replaced

This was the first time staying at Hudson Parap and I will definitely stay again. Everything about it was excellent. It was extremely clean with the most friendly staff who were available to assist at any time. Also, it is situated opposite the Parap village which was fantastic for the Sat markets and had a refreshing, clean pool area to swim, relax and read a book! I especially want to especially thank Hem, the manager who attended to my reservation. The initial room I had booked was a balcony room which was fantastic - however too dark inside for me - I prefer lots of natural light. Despite being almost fully booked, he was able to show me a couple of rooms in the same category as well as a studio room. I ended up taking the studio room due to the room brightness and it was perfect for me. He accommodated the price adjustment also and his professionalism and communication made my stay that much better! Thank you Hem and to all the staff who work there - you were all so friendly and you make the place even better than the clean, comfortable place it already is. 🙏 Highly recommend Hudson Parap. - Briony P.

1-bed apartment with balcony was well equipped and matched description - very clean; serviced rooms; quite convenient for CBD [10mins by car / $10-13 by taxi ]; good bakery and coffee shops across the street and good mid-range dining options (Sri Lankan; Teppanyaki; Mexican + the ALH operated Parap Tavern). Five mins by car/taxi to Fannie Bay, Darwin Sailing Club etc (dining), Art Gallery & Museum etc

A bit pricey ($309/£160 per night) compared to similar facilities in the CBDs of NSW, VIC and TAS - this is an affliction on pretty much all NT modern 4-star accommodation. If you were self catering, across the street is a good but pricey deli; otherwise a 5/10 minute car trip to get to a Coles or Woolies / shopping mall

Good location to where we needed to go. great location if you like the markets, as its a 1 min walk. has a pool. Has a good kitchenette, wahser,dryer, fridge and we had a balcony which was defiantly good.

Facilities are limited. house cleaning never came around any of the days we stayed. towels are thin and the size of tea towels, compared to other hotels and the price we paid the quality isn't great. Rooms are too dim, lighting in the rooms are very poor.

Great location for the weekend market, aswell as little eating places a cross the road for brekkie. Well kept with friendly staff.

The TV's were outdated and could only watch free to air. Washing machine and clothes dryer were unforgiving if you accidentally put them on the wrong cycle or wanted to added more clothes after starting them. Once it started you have to wait for them to finish. Kept stubbing our toes on the legs of the lounge arm chairs as they poke out on a diagonal. We ended up moving them against the wall out of the way.

Room was clean and comfortable with a kitchenette and fridge. Staff were lovely and very helpful :) There is a tavern close by and markets across the street on saturdays in the group of shops. Bakery, coffee shops, chinese, butcher, cheesecake shop...so much more but my favourite was the gourmet store where we had to indulge in some of the delicious cold meats and cheeses!!! I would highly recommend staying here :)

Excellent Self-contained apartments. Extremely comfortable beds and staff were very helpful and responsive. Close to Parap restaurants and market.

It was a good choice for me being close to my work commitment out of the city. However, Uber and cabs are more expensive than other capital cities so getting around became an expense.

Great location with friendly & helpful staff. Our 1 bedroom apartment was very comfortable with a balcony overlooking the pool. There was a fully equipped kitchen with modern amenities and comfortable queen size bed. Highly recommend this property for visitors to Darwin.
