The Cozy Hostel is really cool. It's small and VERY clean. Bathrooms are cleaned twice a day or more and they're always in good condition. You have 2 toilets and 2 showers in each floor so there is always a free bathroom somewhere. We had a private room with own fridge (amazing!). I loved the outside kitchen. It was not very big, but there is another kitchen upstairs so it doesn't get too crowded. Also the chill area is beautiful with comfortable couches, the atmosphereis friendly and relaxed. The bed was comfortable as well. All in all I really loved it and we also had a special price for our room so it was really great.

When I made the reservation I got a text with the self check-in instructions. They also offered to send a list of free things to do in Darwin and other things. I replied to the message with a couple of questions and accepting the list but I got no answer. I sent another message the day after and I got a reply to 1 of my questions but not the list and not to the other questions. Then I texted the owner and I got the answers so It was nice. I know we're all busy but since there is no reception and face-to-face interaction I think it's important to be reactive on the phone. Also the room had no furniture to stock clothes etc. That was not a big problem for a few nights and we had the private fridge so we were ok with that!

This is a lovely hostel, with everything that a traveller could need, and very friendly staff who make every effort to help their guests with literally any issue! I stayed in both a private room - which I considered to be very good value, and had a fridge, which is always useful - and one of the female dormitories, which was obviously even better value, and came with a storage locker, and adequate access to plug sockets and AC, etc. 🙂 Overall, I definitely recommend the Cozy Hostel, and feel that it's probably the best value accommodation available in Darwin!

Great atmosphere with everybody relax. Outside couches are comfortable ! The AirCon in the room makes sleeping possible compared to the outside furnace.

The rooms are quite small but lockers/closet makes it easy to store everyone's bags,.

There is no office but phone numbers to contact. I received a text with the code for the room 30mins before check-in time. The room was ready on time with A/C on. Kitchens are maybe a bit small for everyone but I didn't have to use them. So the mini fridge in the budget double room is a very nice point! Bathrooms were correct and regularly cleaned. You have to check-out before 10am but you can leave your luggage in the shared space for the day if you have a late night flight, which was really useful.

The facilities were clean and well maintained. The rooms were spacious enough for the beds and the beds were comfortable. The communal areas were good although the couches had seen better days. It was quiet and calm.

This might have been due to the time we were staying there but there was no pool. And the lockers provided in the rooms were too small, so people ended up having their stuff on the floor which made it hard to move around.

Chill vibe, walking distance to the CBD, 2 kitchens, clean sheets and comfortable beds and pillows, clean showers, easy check in, lots of space to relax (quiet or with music).

I stayed in a dorm and there was confusion about which bed was free - the wrong bed was made up so the other guest who was still there moved all my items and I had to contact the manager to get a freshly made bed (and ended up waiting an hour for this to get sorted). If the beds were more clearly marked with a number/name perhaps this issue could have been avoided. Apart from that the stay was great!

The location, my flight was cancelled so I got an bonus holiday extra in Darwin. With the local bus (Free of charge they waved the ticket price away) to the Airport. All need to sees are in walking distances from the hostel. 100% motivated people who end, start their work holiday in Australia, or people like me who enjoyed to be in between people who have the same interest, and of course saving lots of money! An hotel next door via booking.com would have costed me € 180,00 for two nights, now I spend € 18,00 a night. This is for a missed flight an very nice bonus. Yes, you sleep with max 6 in a room, close your eyes and sleep well; I did not mind to be with others! The shower(s) were extreem: hot and cold and cleaned. Lots of soap is available and nice balconies and relax area and outside kitchen are available. I did not use it, but even washing machines and refrigeration are free to use. And that all with an happy manager, who provided lots of good tips, incl. an tip how to go to an Zen bar serving free (yes, I did not pay) food! Talk go him and you can even safe dinner that way, the view you get from Zen is the best spot in Darwin 360 degrees view on the 16th floor!

Hard to say yes, maybe something then: a place to lock your valuable items like your passport and cards over night. A safe box, or an cubboard to lock yourself when you take an shower would be an improvement. Now I left my wallet, money and pasport under my pillow when I took a shower. But all people were so nice that I felt I could thrust them.

the people here were extremely nice. The owner up grade our stay from dom to two double private rooms for free，very helpful with the local informations. Guys stay here were nice，they are not rich，but truly kind and authentic，even much better than those we meet outside the residence，we make a few friends here. Bath room very tidy， hot big water 24 hours… fully equipped kitchen，private freezer if you stay in private room…close to the town center.

Nothing to complain.. maybe can be even more budget friendly？

Did the job! My cousin and I shared a private room here. Hostel was far enough away from the main street to be able to get a sound night sleep but still close enough to ride a scooter into town. My bed was surprisingly so comfy for a hostel and I am a princess when it comes to accomodation lol.

the toilet paper brand could be better lol but that's being so extra - it was honestly fine.

Great location in Darwin Cbd. . One of the best hostels I've stayed in. Made lots of good friends unlike other hostels where nobody will talk to you . It's also quiet enough to sleep if you are working.The owner has speedy response if any problems occur and great tips for things to do in the local area.
