The location was excellent. The room was very modern, recently renovated, and very clean. The room was very well equipped with facilities, and it included a kitchenette. The room was regularly stocked with a plentiful supply of tea, coffee, milk, and sugar etc. It was good value for money.

I arrived at about 1AM in the morning. The office was closed, but that was as expected. However, it was very dark where the key box was located, and I could not read the button numbers to dial-in my PIN number. I had to use the light from my mobile phone to shed some light on the key box. I strongly suggest that hotel management install a powerful external light above the key box that will brighten up that area of the driveway at night-time.

Capitanos is very well located in Mitchell Street, one of the main streets in Darwin's city centre. The room was clean, well maintained and reasonably quiet. The air-conditioning and fan kept the room habitable in Darwin's hot and humid March climate. The receptionist was friendly. There is a good swimming pool.

There was a strong light outside on the balcony which the window blind did not sufficiently shield. Not a major issue but I would have preferred a darker room at night.

This was a perfect stay in Darwin. Small, family scale hotel set in the the center of Darwin, very close to pubs, super,Arleta, cultural center. Nice walk to the waterfront. Hotel,seems recently renovated, everything is pleasantly fresh. Swimming pool is very very nice, they even provide swimming macarons. Only a pity there is no shading cover over it. Kitchen facilities are also very good, just what one would need for a quick fix. Car park is perfect. Great location for very good price. And as a bonus- aesthetically the choice of couloir: turquoise you immediately fall into the tropical vibe.

All was perfect. The check-in person quite distant , all other personnel were amazing helpful, sunny and energetic people. But the service was good over all.

very comfortable bed, Great location not too far from bus stops and grocery store. has air conditioning plus a ceiling fan. Hot water where you want it. that pool was very nice, washer dryers worked well. has a nice BBQ outside if you have something to cook. i was there 10 nights.

needs a little attention to detail, it needs a good refresh in landscape and where things are leaking and green with moss. i am not fond of fluorescent lights in bath, kitchen, and bed area. I wish it would have had a cooktop so I could boil my eggs and do some other things.

Location very useful, away from the noise of nightlife but close enough to shops and some attractions as long as you can walk. Great to have the pool and basics for cooking, and staff very friendly and helpful .

Pedestrian gate needs a soft closure, after hours bangs whenever anyone goes through, so weekend drinkers returning at 4am and early leavers at 5.30am wake everyone up. More parking needed,even a cheap arrangement next door or across the street would be good, and safer with existing car parks too narrow for SUVs

Fridge in room was a godsend as able to freeze water overnight for consumption following day. Good storage for multiple bags (travelling for 6 weeks) and plenty of space to move around. Aircon & fan an absolute must.

Expected to do washing on site but neither of us use a smart device which was required to use machines. Disappointing & very inconvenient. We know it was Darwin but finding the water that came from the cold taps was hotter than that from the hot taps meant we never got a cool shower. Other than that shower was fine. We did not receive a full room service as indicated in the room manual for stays longer than 4 days & had to request replacement tea/coffee/sugar. No securable undersheet on bed inadequate for a tall person. A bottom tuck-in sheet preferable.

The driveway / parking area is really too narrow to accommodate longer vehicles. The door on the shower in our room allowed water to splash out making the bathroom floor wet. We wanted to turn off the ceiling fan overnight but couldn’t find the switch which was behind the pillows on the bed (together with a power point) which we only discovered the next morning. The people in the room above us sounded like they were moving furniture which was quite annoying

It was easy to check in, even though I arrived at 1am. The room was comfortable and clean. I was able to have a bag dropped off for me by a friend a day earlier, and it was in my room waiting for me. It was easy to find and easy walking distance to cafe's in the morning for breakfast.

The only thing I didn't like was that during the night I was a little chilly. I turned off the aircon, but there were no blankets in the room, not even a light blanket in the cupboard. I like to sleep with a something a little heavier than a sheet, more for the weight than warmth, although warmth is important too. That's my only gripe, that I wish there had been a light blanket!

Upmarket motel located in the quieter end of Mitchell Street, just a few minutes walk from the bars and restaurants. Supermarkets 10 mins walk away. Room was modern, clean and fairly spacious, with a nice little kitchen area. Bed was comfortable. Great pool area. Good value for money. Friendly receptionist.

A minor thing, but it would be great to have some comfier sunlounges by the pool area, the ones there are hard plastic and terrible design to get on & off.

I stayed here on two occasions and had two different rooms. Both were clean and spacious with comfortable beds and good aircon. The kitchenette is practical (fridge, kettle, microwave, toaster, sink) for breakfast or snacks. There is a pool. Staff are great. Good location, just a short walk from the supermarket, restaurants, and pretty Bicentennial Park along the coast. Price is reasonable. All that said, it is an older 2-story concrete/brick building with no lift, and it's feeling its age.

Water pressure in the shower, particularly when I had the upstairs room, was disappointing. Balcony/patio is small.
