Bowen is a beautiful place and the Motel, not only was it a great location just accross from the water, it was also walking distance to the pub which offered fantastic live music and a delicious meal. The very friendly staff gave us a book with directions to the amazing sights such as horseshoe bay, rose bay and flagstone lookout - well worth the drive around to these amazing locations - we had a wonderful time and would have liked to stay longer to explore these areas. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again if the opportunity arose.

There was nothing not to like about this Motel

Very quiet no road noise at all very close to town 1 minute Restaurants close by we’re very well priced receptions staff recommendations were correct. Its wonderful to have a seperate lounge tv had you tube nice to see kitchenette well equiped sound proofed pretty well from units next door car park spaces good width

Shower head bit too low n too small spray head. Couldn’t find anything else wrong

A very clean, quiet and well managed motel. Excellent customer service. Staff members were understanding and promptly responded, (see below) to requests in a very positive, helpful and efficient manner. Shops, including a supermarket are just a short walk, (approx. a 10 minute stroll) from the property. An attractive and well maintained oceanside park and a pier are just across the road. The ocean and the park could both be viewed from my room. The small kitchenette was well equipped. The bed was comfortable and the rooms, (bedroom and living room) were well furnished. Good WiFi. Special Note: Had my stay not been disturbed, (see negative comments) by the inconsiderate / anti-social actions of a few other guests, I would have given this motel a better review score.

1. No smoking policy should be more strictly enforced - The smell of cigarette smoke from people smoking outside an adjacent room was very unpleasant. I brought this to the attention of staff who promptly and satisfactorily dealt with the issue. Note: I would suggest that guests be told that smoking anywhere, (not just inside the rooms) on the property is not permitted. 2. Noise from other guests - Some other guests, (some who were apparently quite intoxicated) caused a disturbance, (loud voices, banging doors and foul language) during my stay which greatly disturbed me. I brought this to the attention of staff who promptly and satisfactorily dealt with the issue. Note: I would suggest that guests be reminded at check in that creating such disturbances is not permitted.

Great location near the waterfront and close to the town centre. Clean and compact unit with everything one would need for a break away. Air conditioning was essential to offset the heat.

If the air conditioning or a fan could have been on a little before my arrival to offset the temperature in the unit would have been appreciated but not essential.

Room was very clean.

Bed was uncomfortable, made worse by the fitting of a plastic cover under the sheet, which made crunching noises every time we moved. Exhaust fan in bathroom did not work. No air-conditioning in lounge/kitchen area, so when my partner went to bed, a few hours earlier than me, and had the bedroom door closed, it got very warm in the lounge area, despite having the ceiling fan on high (it was summer in tropical north Queensland).

Very central location, close to Super IGA supermarket and this allowed us to purchase our dinner to keep costs down on our travel. The room has a microwave Fridge and sufficient crockery, cutlery for two people.

The bed could have been better in our opinion, it was a little to hard for our liking but we did get a good sleep because it was so quiet there.

I absolutely love staying at the Port Denison Hotel. Marnie and the rest of the staff are very accommodating and just great customer service. Truly make me feel welcome and I feel so comfortable to have any conversation with them about my stay at the hotel.

Had air conditioner in bed room but not in the living area. The air conditioner just didn't cool those rooms down enough. It had ceiling fans which tried to circulate air otherwise good size accommodation. Pillows to hard for some

Nice clean rooms with plenty of space. Felt like we were in a small, well equipped apartment instead of a motel room. Beautiful surrounding gardens with own private clothes line and outdoor seating. Bed was so comfortable I nearly slept through book out time!!!

Not a thing to complain about!

Close to the beaches. Beds were comfy. Huge rooms with kitchen and separate living room. Loved the space. Staff were so friendly. Undercover parking was high enough for our Ute and swags on top.

Bathrooms. They are nice and new but the shower doesn’t have a rim so water spills out around toilet area wetting all the floor.
