We enjoy staying at Discovery Parks - Whyalla Foreshore - whilst it was a quick overnight trip this time, it was an added bonus that we could bring our ol' girl (dog) for a quick stay, too. We enjoyed taking her for walks around the Discovery Park and down to the Pet Friendly Whyalla Waves Cafe, down at the beach. Everyone at the Discovery Park were super friendly and helpful. The location was great, our Pet Friendly cabin was clean - although it was a bit on the small side, but it suited our needs for the one night.

If I could make one suggestion, it would be to have a ceiling fan in the bedroom, as after a warm day, the bedroom was too warm at night to get any proper sleep. We had the air-con on, but unfortunately the cool air didn't reach down to the bedroom area. This would be a great upgrade for the cabin.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin which was very clean and facilities were good. Always nice to have tea/coffee/milk for that cuppa when you arrive. Location was excellent with a lovely view to the water and parking was easy being right outside. Staff were very helpful when checking in providing map/information about access to the park/cabin etc.

Free wifi was promised however it is not available in the deluxe cabins as they are too far from the router. This was explained by reception staff but only after we spent quite a bit of time attempting to log in and then walked back to reception to ask. Staff suggested going to the communal kitchens, or sitting on the seat outside reception, when you wanted to use the wifi. It would have been helpful to explain this when checking in - or better yet, investing in a booster so wifi is available in all the park area as advertised.

The park is in a fantastic foreshore location. The facilities are great, my son loved the basketball ring. The park doesn't feel cramped or noisy, (like some other caravan parks we've stayed in). We saw lots of other accomodation around Whyalla when we drove around, but none was in such a great location. The staff were friendly and it was an easy process to check in and check out.

Property was exactly as you would expect for a caravan park cabin, had all the essentials but not overly new/strong/sealed. Suited us perfectly for air-con, bedding and amenities. Would recommend if you are stopping over for the night. Kids playground was ok, pillow was great but lots of HUGE bird poop over all the other equipment (It had to have been a flock of pelicans!?) indoor rec area was also really nice.

Staff were really not too friendly in the one super brief face to face interaction when finishing up. Over the phone seemed ok.

I was lucky to stay in the end cabin and could see the ocean which was wonderful. It was very neat and the bed was super comfortable! All the cooking and cleaning supplies were clean, tidy and just what was needed. Perfect location for a beach walk in the evening.

Some of the cabins I noticed were very close together. I was on the end, so it was not a problem, but would not have liked to be squished between without a view.

Stayed one night en route to Port Lincoln in a budget cabin. Clean and well equipped. Comfortable bed, nice hot shower, soft towels, and good wifi. Pretty quiet. Less than 1 minute to the nice foreshore, 20-30 minute walk to jetty. Close to town. Playground looked good for kids. Would stay again.

No big issues. Cabin had a slight cooking smell. Bathroom was OK but a bit tight. A larger cabin might be better for a longer stay.

The staff at reception were friendly and helpful. Our unit had everything we required for our stay - it wasn't fancy but met our needs, with a comfy bed, cooking facilities and a good bathroom. The shower was really strong and hot. The location is very good, right next to the beach.

The room was compact but that was fine because we didn't need to spend much time there.

The location is wonderful and convenient. The rooms are very clean and well equipped. We were upgraded to a superior chalet to our pleasant surprise. Booking.com had advertised the accommodation as 1 single bed and 2 double beds. Since we are 3 friends over 50 years of age and are not capable of climbing on to bunk beds, I selected this room. But turned out that the single bed is infact a bunk bed. We were not sure how we could adjust in this scenario. Naturally very disappointed. But the lovely lady at the reception (I think her name is Sheryle) went out of her way to sort this out for us. And to our utter surprise, upgraded us to a seaview superior chalet. And we are much obliged at her kindness and I'm sure her boss too had a hand in this. Thanks so very much Discovery parks accommodation.

Booking.com not being very clear about the bed configuration.

View and proximity to the beach and ships. Friendliness and helpfulness of staff. We needed a new shower hard. Fixed in 5 mins.

Cabin was a bit smaller than previous ones I’ve booked. Found a toothpick and fluff next to bedside table which I had to move to plug in phone. Toilet in 47 is not clearing on first flush.

Was very clean and spacious comfortable Enough utensils and cutlery coffee and tea choices is great I love the toiletries variety The playground is amazing my grandkids love it Staff are friendly polite I always choose to stay here for my visit to my grandkids love it Thank you will see you again soon
