Clean, fresh, comfortable. Upmarket and modern facilities. I felt safe. Staff were lovely, super accommodating, understanding and helpful!!! Went highly above what I expected and I really did appreciate the hospitality. I will most definitely return here without a second thought! I would also highly recommend the ellen to anyone staying in Port Pirie. Good water pressure in the shower.

Sadly missed out in utilising the restaurant/room service due to my stay being on public holidays and there really wasn't any other decent options around town except for junk food. The room didn't have facilities to make my own. (The owner did offer a microwave but silly me didn't accept the offer!)

The gentleman at Reception was exceptional, he welcomed us, told us everything we needed to know and organised room service meal for us even though restaurant was full. Beds very comfortable.

There was a bit of noise from other guests and hoons outside. To be fair, it was a Saturday night. I like a bit more available light in a hotel room and we don’t like highly scented soaps etc, but the facial soap worked ok. Was a bit nervous re no secure parking and sad no pool but otherwise all was good. Did think it was a little pricey but it was clearly one of the nicest places to stay in town.

Beautiful hotel. Luxurious in appearance. Very clean. Staff were all wonderful. I believe Darryl is the owner and a wonderfully kind and thoughtful gentleman he is. He saw my elderly mum wasn’t joining us for dinner and asked if we wanted some food taken to the room for her. The restaurant food was exceptional. The pork sirloin was perfectly cooked and the toppings were delicious. The sticky date pudding presentation was a work of art. I’ve never seen that done that way before. Michael the chef is amazing. The young lady serving us was wonderfully helpful, friendly and patient and the morning concierge friendly, engaging and helpful in suggesting a place for breakfast (they don’t serve breakfast in the restaurant on weekends). It was very quiet at night despite being on the Main Street and a Saturday night. The shower was very roomy.

A lovely hotel with a superb restaurant run by Mike the chef who produced brilliant meals. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was good and easy parking.

Nothing could have been better. A great experience staying in the Ellen hotel.

The staff were all very welcoming and polite. The hotel dining room was excellent and the meal was delicious - as was the breakfast. Our room was spotless and the bathroom very modern and functional. Obviously the best place to stay in Port Pirie.

Not much to see or do in Port Pirie.

A lovely property to stay with friendly staff. The property needs some basic maintenance. The Luxe Suite we stayed in needs small repairs to following. Main light globe replaced (room too dark) Toilet seat & towel rail loose. Basin tap.

Great location, nice & clean rooms. Very comfortable. This is the first hotel I have seen with a sliding shower door. It works brilliantly (especially for a small bathroom). The restaurant was superb too. Just make sure you book first as there is limited seats.

The Ellen Hotel is a gem, with a great location and outstanding rooms. Furthermore, I made a mistake with the booking, and the Hotel's staff (Sarah) was very accommodating and helpful in finding a solution.

Exceeded expectations

Check in a breeze, rooms are awesome with comfortable beds, modern facilities, pod coffee, comfy beds and complimentary water. It was the little touches such as high end cousins, great quality pillows and power outlets that had USB charging that I really liked. The restaurant was also excellent! Food was well presented and the cost reasonable. If you stay in a Luxe Suite the Steam Shower is a little piece of indulgence that should not be missed!

We stayed in the lux suite and it was beautiful. The bathroom had a steam shower, which was a great experience. The hotel is safe and right in town with easy access to restaurants/bars/ walks/ groceries.
