The lovely modern fitout of the rooms, the menu at the bar/restaurant and the Eyre Pantry...was cosy for breakfast too!! The Nepalese Goat curry was cooked well with great flavour! But, the best were all the staff!! Whether it be the guy mopping the floors this morning who went out of his way to say "have a great day" after warning me of the wet floors...to the ladies who took my f & b orders last night...i didnt catch the blonde lady's name but she has such a lovely smile and was so helpful...to Mick who was the absolute standout with his attention to detail.. from sharing the best place to park, offering to show me other rooms and indeed doing so as I was thinking of upgrading...to his favourite dish on the menu.. all delivered with good humour and friendliness!!What a star!! The pantry staff were wonderful too! Touches such as the welcome screen on the TV with all the info including a word from the owners..awesome! And I love the tiles in the bathroom and space saving touches in the room such as the room of hooks...nice!
There wasn't anything I didn't like really..the hotel refurbishment is fun and draws on the charms of the original hotels vintage vibes! However, I think the goat curry could be improved with the addition of a few more structural components. It did have rice, a papadam, a naan bread too however, it could have done with one or more other additions such as a small serve of raita, a pickle and or a chutney. The rice could be served from a mold (low cost) to give height to the dish...or each element served in dishes like seen on a thali plate to add visual appeal to the presentation.

The property was excellent, the room was newly refurbished so modern with many comforts like usb c charging points in the power points, tv that is linked to the hotel showing menus etc, comfy and clean room, the ensuite was clean and modern with plenty of complementary soap, washes, toothbrushes, shaving kits etc. The mini bar was full stocked also which is good for a change. The staff were excellent, very helpfull and accomodating, the hotel food was delicious as was the ‘Pantry’ cafe located onsite also for all your breakfast needs. The ONLY negative is that there is no secure car parking.

The hotel service was perfect but when we asked booking .com to provide us a room with easy access they did not inform us the hotel was upstairs only and I struggled as L had a heart op on ly months ago and I am not overweight but 74 years old however we negotiated the 3 banks of steps very slowly but could not take baggage upstairs. But we recommend the hotel highly for anyone younger and very healthy The meals were perfect as also were the staff who were polite and plenty of smiles.

Great for overnight stop, only needed accommodation and meal. The staff were exceptional. Extremely friendly and helpful. In particular Michael (I think I have the name correct) who went above and beyond to help us. In particular we needed some ice blocks frozen overnight for our chilli bin and he made sure that happened. We were also supplied with extra crockery for our room which was perfect. All staff a great asset to the venue. You have a good team!
For an overnight stop it really was quite sufficient. The hardest part was having no lift to get our luggage up to the room. However, the room was perfectly comfortable, the room and ensuite looked new. Maybe there is just no convenient place to put a lift. Still we managed.

Lots of thought has gone into the cool decor. Good amenities provided. Lamps and charging points by bed. Great comfortable bed. Great hot water. Good A/C/heating. Cafe and restaurant on site.. Good assistance from Joseph, thank you.
Room was small. Fine for a solo traveller with little luggage but no place for large luggage. Some noise from quizz night at the bar. - otherwise quiet. Some distance from the marina if you're on foot and want to see the dolphins etc.

It's the second time I've stayed in one of the tiny rooms. The bed is extremely comfortable. There are USB ports on either side of the bed which beats having to find powerpoints. The TV is big and you can sign in to Netflix if you want to. The bathroom is modern with everything you need for a comfy stay..even spare toothbrushes if required. The room is compact but furnished in such a way that it makes the most out of the space. Dinner at the restaurant was great, and the staff were really friendly and provided our group with excellent service. The cafe downstairs also had lovely staff, and my breakfast was delicious! I even had a sneaky breakfast espresso martini.

Very well appointed modern rooms with everything you need thoughtfully provided. The pictures were real old movie posters rather than the commercial art you find in most hotels. Books were also provided.
The downstairs area was much like a leagues club with bar and poker machines, so not a good first impression (but proved to be convenient for dinner and morning coffee).

Room was tiny but perfect! Very comfortable bed, great aircon, new smart TV - lovely coffee and tea selection. Mini bar. Bathroom new and spotlessly clean. Great lighting. The room was quiet. Hotel Pub Meals great and the cafe for Breakfast/Brunch/Lunch was really excellent and well priced. Beautiful outdoor area in the Beer Garden. Guest laundry - garment steamer in the room, too. Clever use of space!

Rooms had everything we needed just for 1 night quiet small but comfortable nice & clean good shower & nice size TV. Bed was comfortable to .
I booked 2 rooms one for my partner & I and the other for his parents. We didn't know about the stairs to get up to the rooms his parents are in their 80's & they couldn't leave their room due to the stairs luckily it was only for 1 night. So mabey let people know there is stairs & no lift . The rooms weren't very sound proof either it was quite noisy.

The decor is quite smart having been updated recently. The floor plan is efficient on space and the provided bathroom toiletries were generous and upscale. It was good to be able to have meals in the hotel dining area downstairs, which didn’t disappoint. Whilst our room is called ‘the shoebox’, it was perfect for our short stay. We would definitely stay here again, and recommend it highly.
Nothing critical to say, only that the rooms are one level up from reception. Be prepared to carry luggage up a wide flight of strairs.
