We were delighted to take up the hosts offer of dinner on arrival as we had our own breakfast with us. This flexibility was great as we hadn't realised how small a town Port Germian was. It left us free to walk the pier at night and get on our way quickly in the morning. Lovely to meet you both and thank you for your delightful location in an historical building.

If there were more guests, sharing the bathroom could have been difficult but we expect that you will manage how many people are in the house at once. For the 4 of us it was fine sharing with the hosts.

Great for a one night stopover. The mini fridge in the room was helpful for us, smart TV's with netflix access, properly functioning bathroom, and friendly hosts. We found Vagabond to be good value for money and setup like airbnbs used to be, an affordable room in somebody's house with a decent level of privacy. Great location just down the road from the foreshore

The bed was a bit creaky and uncomfortable for us both to sleep in. Might be better for one person.

I booked it at 7pm and arrived at 10pm. The owner greeted me and had everything set up. The room was large and had a nice table and chairs in it by the bay window. The TV had netflix etc, the bed was comfortable; the bathroom was huge and had a great shower. It's a shared bathroom but only shared among 3 rooms so I never had to wait. Lovely little garden to sit in as well.

The Vagabond house is very, very quiet and in the off peak season you might have it all to yourself. In my case, I wasn't the only guest, but as each person has their own room it was very convenient. The shared bathroom/laundry is really large and very suitable for the situation. There's no kitchen but the large hallway has the facilities for heating food or making a cup of tea or coffee. Its an informal cottage style that allows people on a budget, a comfortable and peaceful place to stay and its such a short walk to the famous jetty that its almost on the doorstep. Port Germein is an exceptionally peaceful, tranquil village with not much in the way of amenities but if you get there early enough you might be lucky to catch the cafe open or the gallery. Its worth staying in town a few days to relax into the very slow rhythm that matches the slow dodge tides along this coast.

There's a sign asking guests to keep the screen door closed and unfortunately one of the other house guests interpreted this as to keep the screen door locked! Meaning I was locked out as there's no key supplied. Don't worry, it was very quickly solved but I'm noting this here as a caution to guests, not to lock other guests out (and to the hosts, to improve the signage to clarify that closed doesn't mean locked). Everything else was fab for a budget stay in the quietest town on the eastern coast of Spencer Gulf.

A short walk to the beach, very quiet other than a train passing in the distance, friendly host, fuss-free and relaxed.

Not a complaint, a suggestion to enclose the shower and toilet so those areas are separate and available while the alternate amenity is being used.

The location and price. The host was informative. The room large and clean.

The room is one of three rooms that are part of the hosts residence. There were notes around telling you what you could or couldn’t do/use. For example there was a washing machine in the shared bathroom, but that was not for guest’s use.

THE STAFF WERE VERY WELCOMING FELT LIKE WE HAD KNOWN THEM.VERY INFORMATIVE AND VERY PROUD OF THEIR COMMUNITY.WILL BOOK A WEEKEND NEXT TIME OVERNIGHT WASNT LONG ENOUGH

Very Friendly hosts, cosy room and we were served a very delicious dinner. Quiet location had a fantastic night's sleep.

Liked everything. We knew it had shared bathroom facilities and all the amenities were super clean

I just needed a place to shower and sleep and this was perfect, I was stressed when I arrived because it was around 10pm and incredibly dark however I was able to find it fine and the bathroom was so beautiful and same with the bedroom, I loved the historic look and vibes about it! Will definitely return in the future

Netflix worked with no issues. Bed was comfortable. Awesome cooked breakfast. Short walk to the jetty and other sights.

Electric blanket on the left side of the bed didn’t work.
