I stayed at the Burnie Airport Motel recently and found it to be a convenient and comfortable option, especially for travelers needing quick access to the airport — it’s just minutes away, which made my early morning flight stress-free. The room was clean and practical, and one standout feature was the heated pad on the bed. It was a small touch, but incredibly useful during the chilly weather. It made for a much more comfortable night’s sleep. The staff were very friendly and professional, which made the stay even more pleasant. They were welcoming, helpful, and clearly cared about providing good service.

Even if Monday isn't a public holiday itself, businesses sometimes close to give staff a longer break or due to reduced foot traffic.

This is an old fashioned motel that has been brilliantly re-imagined by its current owners. It is in a great location right on the river with an excellent walkway running past that meant an easy walk into the town centre where we met friends for dinner. Our room was quite small, but we expected that. However it made up for its lack of size by being beautifully presented with lots of lovely details that made us feel really welcome. Both management and staff provided great service and couldn’t be more helpful. They really know how to run a hospitality business. We enjoyed our breakfast in the motel restaurant after it had been recommended by our local friends the night before. So all in all it was impossible to find anything to criticise, even in a small way. We have already recommended the property to some friends and would have no hesitation in staying there again when we’re next in Wynyard.

We didn’t use the breakfast facility but on observation were very impressed with the selection on offer, and the presentation. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and efficient in all areas of work. The location was beautiful, facing the water. It was a 10 minute walk to town so very convenient. It was quiet and peaceful. We would definitely stay there again.

I didn’t like having to do the dishes in the bathroom basin so bought a plastic bowl for the job. Also the bathroom floor tiles were extremely slippery when wet so caution needed at times.

Breakfast was great ,the venue needs a clean and tidy and updating. The lighting was dusty the round paper lanterns we're dented and dirty stuff pilled up every were needed to be put in storage Room.

We loved the location being right on the water. Loved the 60's decor. The room had everything we needed and more. Everything was in good condition.

The bed was a little high for my wife but very comfortable.

I paid for breakfast and was very happy with my order. All the staff were extremely professional, friendly and personable. Good coffee, lovely eggs with crispy bacon.

Everything was fine. The only constructive thought I can add is there could be more lighting around the snack bar, microwave area adjacent the bathroom.

need to clear up naming confusion. Premises trades under 2 names; Burnie Airport Motel & Wynyard Waterfront Motel, but only uses the latter in sms correspondence -very confusing!

Unfortunately our rooms were next to the reception and frequently when we returned, another car occupied our spot and was often there for a number of hours.

Clean, modern, great location. Love parking outside my room. The Vaults walking distance and the airport is 5 mins away. Can’t fault my stay. Cute personal touches to signs in the room were nice too. Thanks!

The staff at reception were fantastic. They were very friendly and helpful. The small messages associated with additional items such as water for our use and lollies on departure created a very comfortable feeling for the place. Beds were most comfortable.

Nothing really. It gets a little tight passing behind parked cars if they are a bit long or not parked well. But I never had a time that I couldn't get through.
