Neat little rooms in a property in the heart of town that has been functioning as a hotel for over 150 years. Fantastic balcony available to all residents. A popular pub downstairs with lovely outdoor facilities and a great menu, including plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. The inexpensive rates include a basic self serve breakfast which was ideal for our needs. The hotel and pub staff were all keen to make our stay relaxing and comfortable.
The cheaper rooms entail a bathroom/toilet accessed along a long hallway and shared with other residents. Apparently there are other rooms with ensuite facilities though. The 150 year old floors creak a fair bit but it kind of adds to the appeal. The pub across the road was a bit noisy until late.

We stayed here twice while biking the Victorian Rail Trail. Perfect half way point The rooms are old but historic. Our first one had the story of the hotel from the gold rush days and pointed out some of the original fittings. Clean and modern bathroom with hot and good pressure shower down the hall. Comfortable beds and blankets. First room had plenty of plugs, the second one they were hidden behind the bed. Small TV worked well enough They let us lock our bikes in the back garden. Not really official, but secure for the night. It's also the main restaurant in town. Food was good if slightly expensive Some great cafes nearby for breakfast though.

the balcony is good for travellers to enjoy night time. While the whole hotel is clean and arranged well. Check in is fast and same for check out (just drop the key on the board). Good location at the town center, with a few parking lots. Room is in old style, tiny and clean. So it uses fans instead of air conditioner, which is quite interesting.
The noise from neighbor room is an issue that light sleepers will need ear plugs at night

Great staff. Classic good quality counter meals. Bathrooms had been upgraded since our last stay, so that was good. Safe bike storage. Breakfast is basic but available anytime to enable an early start. Bed comfy. Good verandah. Great location in the center of town.
Nothing.... expect basic but comfortable as excellent value for money

We arrived at the hotel from Mr Buller tired and hungry. All we had to do was sit down at a table in the Bistro, the friendly staff brought us some menus , took our orders and made a delicious generous meal which they brought to our table. (good old fashion service) We didn't have to lift a single finger on any QR code, everything done and served by the very friendly good old fashion great staff. Such a refreshsing change where the hotel does all the work for you whilst you just relax. We actually enjoyed our stay at the Corner Hotel more than our $800 a night room in Mr Buller.

Great location, great pub, awesome food and amazing art on the walls a little gem. Staff super friendly and really easy to deal with. We cycled there and bike storage wasn't a problem.
We had a queen bedroom with shared bathroom on the floor. It wasn't a problem for us, but one shower and one toilet on the floor for 10 odd rooms might not work on busy times.

We are a group of 11 cyclists doing the trails so biked into town, enjoyed the Bakery for lunch opposite and a fabulous dinner menu at Hotel Alexandra. They also had somewhere to put our 11 bikes to be safe overnight which was excellent. It's a lovely old Hotel with 140 year old floor boards we all loved the character of the place. Continental breakfast good.

The room was just as expected - comfortable, clean and good value for money. The dining room was very comfortable with great atmosphere. The gas fireplace made it very cozy. Hats off to the two young lads managing the place - one behind the bar and the other in the dining room. Both were very efficient and helpful all round with everything from where to lock up bicycles to bar/food service.

My room was well prepared and nicely presented. It was small room but typical for the old Victorian hotel. The shared bathroom was clean. Wifi was average.
Wifi was average. Mobile coverage was good so wifi wasn't critical. The bar closed early and no meals after 830 pm. Continental breakfast was adequate.

Clean, quiet, tidy, and comfortable. Rooms even have a TV. Nice spot in the middle of town. Friendly staff. Solid shower. Simple breakfast available.
Could benefit from better bicycle storage facilities, but there are places you can put one.
