Plastic glasses in the hotel room. There’s no need to have plastic. Even the most basic of hotels have glass wine glasses. They need to give some more love and attention to the area around the car park (rubbish, doors left open to empty spa rooms with weeds growing everywhere) really affects the first impressions of the hotel given you have to walk through this space to your hotel room. Also the entry to the hotel rooms could do with something to make it more inviting and homely (abandoned endota spa lamps in the hall way and some boxes and rubbish on display on the way to your room doesn’t feel inviting). There’s a door out to what was once a courtyard left bare and sad. Generally the place is beautiful, you can see what it could be if someone gave it some attention.

The room was a good size and comfortable. Air-conditioning and facilities worked well. The shower and bathroom area was spacious. The cafe and bar are located on the ground floor great. The outside bar area is also good. The staff are friendly and helpful. The building is an older style pub with great character. It is also very close to convenience stores and grocery stores. It is located in the centre of Daylesford and is close to many attractions.

The bar fridge in the room was too small. Needed to be double the size.

The room was quite comfortable, the bed particularly so. The bath was very pleasant to soak in and relax. The location was excellent, close to all amenities.

There was an issue with the plumbing, that led to a large puddle forming on the floor around the base of the handbasin whenever it or the bath/shower were used. The shower was a little awkward to use, given its elevation bar only rose to waist height when standing, and sitting in the bath to use the shower was not exactly comfortable. The room could have used some additional power capabilities given the number of devices (phones, tablets) that are normally carried and require charging. The two antique chairs in the room were both in poor condition and unable to be used - not a problem if you're having a romantic weekend in bed! We noted that there is some wood rot in the bedroom window which should be seen to before it worsens.

Room was beautifully furnished. Heater worked very well! Didn't have time to use the spa bath, but loved the look of it.

Better lighting in the bathroom or in the bedroom in front of the mirror to apply makeup would be good but not a deal breaker. There were ants coming out of the bathroom sink tap, but they weren't anywhere else in the room.

Beautifully decorated, wonderful atmosphere, location is the best in Daylesford.

The room needed some little extras to make it more traveller friendly: a full length mirror, a nightstand next to the bed with a lamp and a few drawers. A more usable table/stand in the bathroom next to the sink.

This hotel feels like stepping back in time in a good way. I love the building, decor and ambience. Fantastic location and good amenities. Ideal for a romantic weekend.

Being an old building you expect some creaks but some of the floorboards around the bed were so bad it was impossible to move without waking each other up.

From the moment I booked I recieved confirmation with a personal response to a question I had about food at the hotel and around the area. I had never been to daylesford and as a vegan I like to come prepared with places I can go to eat. I was greeted with a warm welcome email and suggestions for the hotel bar and local cafes. I was prompty welcomed on arrival and shown the restaurant, cafe and then to my room. The room was gorgeous! So warm, cosy and inviting. The bed was so comfy and the pillows felt like sleeping on clouds. The bathroom was beautiful. I could have lived there, it was so decadent. The bathroom amenities were luxurious and smelled divine! I couldn't wait to use them. I would definitely come back again.

I would have loved to see more vegan options in your cafe and restaurant. I was told I could add vegan cheese to the pizzas but other than that, my only option was the side salad (which was delicious and wish was bigger) and a side of chips. The cafe didn't seem to have any options without removing most things so I didn't go there.

Lovely big room, huge comfortable bed, massive bathroom with massive bath, would be great for a long weekend stay. Staff excellent, late booking for dinner and food was exceptional. Ambience in the bar/restaurant was great as well. When the EV charger at the front of the hotel was found to be broken, the staff allowed access to a power for me to charge overnight. Thanks Hotel Frangos.

Cant fault it. There was nothing I didn't like, the location was perfect, room was next level, what can I say.

The room was spacious and comfortable and the spa was one of the most powerful spas we've ever sat in. The staff were super friendly and the parking at the rear of the hotel was great.

The restaurant was below average, and the bar staff on shift at the time were clueless and appeared not to want to be there. The tables were dirty and the toilets were also, the waiter bought out our meals first and when asked where our entrees where he said he was bringing them out next (?). We went to the restaurant last year and it was great, after our latest visit we wont be going there aging.

The rooms were very nice, super comfortable and each had character. The hotel is in an excellent location and parking is super easy.

The hallway to the rooms feels quite abandoned, there were empty boxes, mops and cleaning signs around, which felt very odd and unfinished.
