Exceptionally clean, very comfortable bed, best shower ever. An excellent, powerful hairdryer! Soft, white fluffy towels, quality soap, shower gel and shampoo, conditioner. Even face cloths which a lot of motels have given up on. Brilliant location! Pub that does good takeaway just across the road, plenty of other eateries nearby. Also close to Woolworths supermarket and Big W. Lovely park and river walk nearby. Self check in was quick and easy. Loved the strong clip on the key which enabled it to be easily clipped to handbag or car keys, so not easy to lose or forget. An interesting style of motel building- it just looks like a lovely home- the rooms are built in to the veranda, making you feel more like you’re staying at a friend’s home than a motel! I was offered early check in, which was very much appreciated, but l understand that this can’t be available every time. Highly recommend staying there!

Check-In process easy - details of key location/photo & key code were messaged to me. Plenty of coffee/tea & biscuits Provision of shower gel, shampoo/conditioner in small tubes Super clean/crisp white sheets & fresh smelling pillows Location very central and safe to walk around. A Hotel with Bistro meals and Aldi supermarkeyt across the road. My best discovery - the Wok-Inn, next to Aldi. Delicious noodles & Asian food (best Fried Rice ever imo) at a very reasonable price!

Billabong Motel may not have the most modern rooms, but they're extremely clean & comfortable; room rate is very reasonable

Getting the key is contactless and was so easy to do. We arrived on a hot day and was delighted to find the air con and fan going so the room was very cool. There was also 2 icy cold bottles of water in the fridge. You don't find hospitality like that any more. Room is large with two desk chairs and a comfy chair. Bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Bathroom is larger than it looks in photos. Shower has good pressure and plenty of hot water. The motel is a very short walk from a pub which does very good meals. I would definitely stay here again and I will highly recommend to anyone staying in Wangaratta.

Clean and comfortable and good value for money. We’ll stay here again if we’re travelling through Wangaratta. Even though it was a contactless check in, I still rated the staff highly, because the communications were timely and friendly and the advice about where to eat (we were a late arrival) was spot on: pub walk across the road - and the food & service there were excellent! One question for the owners: Sometimes we travel with our old miniature Spoodle Lola, docile, non-shedding. Would she be allowed to stay?

I would highly recommend staying at this place. the room interior has very modern decor including the bathroom. It felt like we were in a 4* hotel. The location is excellent - right on the door step to the shopping area. The owner was very friendly and helpful with plenty of useful information about the area. She recommended a great place to eat (Wok In)....they provided milk, water, tea , and cookies etc.

Although staff explained everything adequately by text I was a little afraid that there was no human contact at reception when I arrived which now seems the norm. I'm a 78 year old woman & was a long way from home.

Checked in online, then drove straight to the Motel to be greeted by the owner Stacey who was just lovely. The room No. 2 was to the front of the Motel which seems to have been a big house at some earlier time as this was off the verandah. It was roomy enough with a very comfortable bed, 2 chairs to relax in, every amenity you could think of that you might need, and it was exceptionally clean. It had both an overhead fan and AC also. Plenty of hot water in the lovely shower also. It is located a street back from the main street, it is also opposite Aldi and the Precinct Hotel that does a fabulous meal. If you wanted to prepare your own breakfast then everything is there for you to do so including a microwave.

Although it was in a quiet part of town, there was a humming noise from a distance the whole night and not sure what it was. Luckily I had ear plugs so it didn't bother me too much.

The room was excellent😍 It was very clean and had a spoon, plate, hair dryer, and everything I needed. Stacey was very kind and granted my request for a late check-out! I will definitely come here again if I visit Wangaratta in the future👍👍

Unfortunately the walls between rooms are not sound proof, I had a group of younger men on last night partying noisy to 2am on a Thursday night and found it pretty hard to sleep and as I was working the Friday I was knackered

Clean room, central location without being on the Main St. Management were easy to deal with and provided clear instructions

Bar fridge needs a small freezer attached to it for ice packs or other foods that can be frozen
