Our room was very clean, neat and tidy. We had the ground floor room over looking the garden area behind the property, so the view was lovely over looking the beautiful garden. The kitchenette was very well stocked with everything needed to make a tea/coffee and breakfast with the option of purchasing basic food items from Reception. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to assist us. I'm very grateful to the owners for making us feel very welcome.

The kitchenette, while a bit small and showing signs of age, was still functional and served its purpose well. Although it could benefit from some modern updates, it was more than adequate for a short one-night stay. The essential appliances were in place, and there was enough space to prepare a simple meal. While it wasn't the most up-to-date, it did the job comfortably for the night.

Room was spacious, nicely laid out with table, lounge and kitchen area. Bed was comfortable, linen was nice and a nice touch included a makeup face washer remover in the bathroom, which was grey, a practical change from the white normally provided. Staff were helpful, including a comprehensive handout with restaurant recommendations and bikes were available to use free of charge for half the day. Lovely outlook over the park, good location. Would definitely stay here again

We liked everything

We travel north to Queensland three times per annum to see our daughter and Rylee, our granddaughter. Belle lost her husband to cancer 6 years ago. We have always started our journey from Mornington and stayed at motels in Albury. By default, we bypass Wangaratta. But not anymore. It's very cold here in winter and we experienced -3 degrees. We were allocated a downstairs room which suited me, a large ex rugby union player 60 years ago. The reception/owners were welcoming and very friendly. A wonderful cat charmed Lyn and delighted her whilst trying to undo her zip. Lyn Mellady is an esteemed artist and art teacher https://artwithlynmellady.com.au. She found many subjects here to paint in pastel as a newly elected master pastelist. Not many of the restaurants were open being Sunday but we had a fantastic meal at the pub and the owners directed us there.

We didn't like leaving although we were returning home on the Monday. We will return.

The room that we booked is large and comfortable which is what we enjoy as a couple of elderly seniors.

On arrival, the very pleasant owner advised us that our credit card would not work earlier but that he knew, from earlier stays, that our card would work. We believe that the problem with the card was from his card machine. Our account always had plenty of money on it, and it appears that the owner now knows that. After a pleasant chat, we advised that we would stay there in the future on our travels. We were sorry for his inconvenience, but believed that the problem was his, not ours.

Close to the heart of Wangaratta - we could walk wherever we wanted to go.

I wish I knew prior to booking that the pool was out of order. I would have booked elsewhere, my kids were pumped to go for a swim so very disappointed to arrive and find it with no water on a 35 degree day. We were only there one night and that’s all my kids wanted to do. I know we could have used pool across the road, but I would have booked there if I’d known. Young kids and inconvenient to go across a busy with them.

You never know what to expect from a motel, but Parkview far exceeded what I was expecting. The rooms are a little dated, but they are spacious, fully stocked with what you need, and clean. My room overlooked the park which was a beautiful view. There were multiple built in desk spaces that made it easy to get my work done. The motel is located central and walking distance to anywhere downtown. I didn’t arrive until late, but the team was friendly and made it very easy for me to get access to my room. Great value!

Wifi isn’t the strongest

Affordable room for a family of 5…. This is unheard of normally. Everything is normally catered for a family of 4

When I booked the room, a diagram showed the bed configurations as a double/queen and 3 singles…. I deliberately chose this because I have 3 girls - a 9 year old and twin 7 year olds - in the past theirs arguments about who is sleeping with who etc so I was happy I might avoid it. This was not the case in my room - we had double/queen and another double/queen and fold out bed… I ended up having to sleep one on the couch. No biggy though.

Well priced, great location, close to CBD and all amenities and overlooking a beautiful park. Room facilities were modern, clean and comfortable. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Add free washing and powder and this motor inn is the best we have experienced in a long, long time. It is clear that it is extremely well managed.

The family room was made up of two singles and a double bed with an ensuite and mini kitchenette. It was very clean and comfortable. It was great to be able to make breakfast in the morning and a cup of tea. We called ahead to let them know we would be coming late and our late checkin was easily managed and accommodated. Great value for money and would highly recommend to anyone.

The very best part of our room was the lovely big window with a view of the park. The location on the edge of town was excellent and although an older style motel every effort has been made to make it comfortable.

We had intended to have a BBQ one night, but we found the location of the BBQ quite awkward. We felt that juggling plates of food so close to the edge of the pool could be difficult for us. While the room was a good size, the bathroom was cramped and reflected the age of the motel.
