On arrival greeted by a friendly staff member who gave me an unsolicited upgrade from a standard room to a one bedroom "villa". The villa was neat and clean and contained everything I required for my stay. On the morning of my first day a very friendly staff member came to the villa to enquire if I needed anything for my room (a nice touch). Kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was an adequate size.

It might be time for a new mattress on the bed. It was not the most comfortable bed I have experienced in a motel/hotel. The villas are quite close together, so late night noise was a minor factor on my second night, but fortunately it quietened down fairly quickly.

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment. We've just travelled the coast from North QLD and this was by far the best accomodation we've stayed at. The apartment was aesthetically pleasing, the beds soooo comfy (and electric blanket!) and overall spacious for 4 adults and two toddler/babies. Very clean! The staff were very welcoming upon arrival. Id booked the last one online with no option to add our two babies so I explained upon checkin and wasnt charged any extra, great service! Great space for parking as we were travelling with 3 vehicles. Close to town for necessities. Definitely top pick.

We stayed in a budget room for an overnight stop. The room is small but has all the necessaries including comfortable bed, aircon, microwave, fridge, tea making, TV and a good amount of crockery and cutlery. Bathroom is old school but perfectly functional. Above all it was spotlessly clean throughout. Location is quiet, a little out of the centre of town but set in spacious surroundings as per a camping holiday park rather than a roadside motel. Very pleasant. A free, simple but generous breakfast is also provided in a quaint dining room next to reception. Hot drinks, juice, cereals, breads for toasting with butter, jams, Vegemite etc. All very fresh and well presented. This was a true bonus. Overall it's outstanding value and I would definitely stay again. The budget room is not fancy so if you are bougie you should upgrade to a room type with a modern bathroom if that's what floats your boat.

Villa very comfortable and well appointed (with a second bedroom I didn't need!). Breakfast included in convivial breakfast room. Only a few minutes by car into town.

I found the locks on the doors a little awkward, lock on screen door counter intuitive (clockwise to unlock) and needs simultaneous unlatching, then lock on next door turns the expected way but have to get used to turning the key upside down to insert! Some yoghurt (preferably plain and unsweetened) would be a good addition to the breakfast offering, but I know that sounds a bit picky.

The staff were excellent, asking if we needed anything or could they help us in anyway. The cabin was perfect for our needs. The bed comfy, enough towels etc. The sofa large and comfortable and a decent size table to eat from. The location was exactly what we needed not in the center of town so no noise etc and situated so the local area can be explored.

Some more microwave safe dishes as we were limited ehat we could use the microwave for.

Gardenview was an excellent choice for my wife and I because we needed to stay one night in an economical motel while waiting for the removalist to deliver our belongings from Woodend to our new house in Wangaratta the next morning. Happy to discover that the staff upgraded our room for same price as budget room because it was being painted. Thank you. Cabin-style room afforded quiet and privacy. Nice to have a basic breakfast included in the room price.

Perfect little villa, recently renovated. Loved the little veranda and waking up to the sound of kookaburras. Villa was clean and kitchen had coffee, biscuits and even milk in the fridge which was great for the morning tea. Television had several streaming services. WiFi worked well. Perfect location.parking right next to the villa.Tranquil.

It was a hot day and unfortunately the air conditioning wasn’t working well so that was frustrating. Bed also not as comfortable as I would have liked it to be .

This is our second stay at Gardenview and we were very happy with the facilities. The breakfast included in the price is definitely value for money. It is a little further from the shops than some of the motels but we prefer the space around the property so it suits us perfectly. We found it very quiet. Chemist Warehouse is across the road which is very handy if you have forgotten something (as we did!). All in all we would certainly recommend Gardenview to others.

There were guests who were drinking from bottles and smoking in the pool area which was not very pleasant or safe. There needs to be some signage regarding rules when using the pool. Think we would choose another room next time as the villas get quite hot (they have aircon but this takes a while to kick in on really hot days).

The room was immaculately clean and the temperature was in the high 30's so we were delighted to discover the air conditioning had already cooled our room. We were also surprised and very grateful that breakfast of cereal and toast was included in the price. We had a great stay and will definitely stay again next time we are in Wangaratta.

The table in the room was a little small for my husband and I to both use if for our laptops however we brought in the table from the veranda

Free continental breakfast was basic. Cereal, tinned fruit, and toast. Could have done with a bit of Yoghurt and some fresh fruit even if there was a small surcharge. But the dining room was lovely, immaculately clean and heated. Gardens were lovely. Friendly staff. Clean well equipped room. We used one of the bbqs to cook our dinner. Good off-street parking.

The motel units are very old and in need a lot of maintenance but they were clean, comfy, well equipped and great value for our overnight stop.
