This was a same day, last minute booking for a room on a public holiday Friday, so finding any vacancy was a challenge and getting a room at an affordable price point was a nice bonus. It became clear on the outskirts of Melbourne that we would not arrive within the scheduled check-in hours, so a quick phone call to the motel staff resulted in alternative arrangements to collect the key after hours. We were grateful for this, as we were further delayed/significantly detoured due to an incident on the Freeway and were all very ready for a shower and to fall into bed when we finally arrived. The room had everything we needed, the beds were very comfortable and we were well-rested for continuing our journey in the morning.

The staff are very friendly, communicative, flexible, layed back people (nothing is a drama, just what Aussies love)…. The shower is the one area I look at first in all motel rooms etc… If the shower isn’t clean, I hesitate to use it… The shower here was SPOTLESS!! I have nothing whatsoever I can fault regarding the cleanliness of the room…

This question is irrelevant for me… ‘ I can honestly say, ‘I liked everything’… If anyone was to leave a negative review, I wouldn’t believe them, considering my stay here was POSITIVE!

The air conditioning unit was quiet. The room was small but had everything that I needed ( although it was an unusual arrangement to most set ups. eg the fridge was under the sink and the jug was too big to be filled from the tap but I managed okay). The bed was comfortable and easy to sleep on. The location was a bit difficult to find but that couldn’t be helped.

The set up was odd compared to most units but I managed okay and it was only for one night.

Good sized room. Had everything we needed for an overnight stay. Location suited us as we had a car.

Communication not great. I called ahead to see if we could arrive a little earlier as we wanted to drop our trailer off and grab the key early before going to a wedding (we wanted to grab the key early so that we weren't checking in at midnight) and I was told that would be fine. On the day we turned up at 1:30pm and the office was shut. I called the number on the door and was told that check in wasn't until 2pm and that we had to wait till 2pm. This was not ideal especially when I called ahead to make sure it was all ok.

I requested an extension to another full day without an o/night stay. The staff were most obliging, polite and friendly. I am elderly and income is poor so having the accommodation at a fair rate was very helpful. All of the necessary things were there. The bed was very good. All basics are provided. If I need a motel in Benalla again I will definitely return if you are the same managment. Thankyou.

If I may suggest that my shower in room 4 had no safety rail being unsafe for an older person as there is a significant slope on the shower floor needed for drainage. With soapy suds on the floor it is dangerous without a grab rail.

It was easy to find at the entry of the town based on my route. The main part of the room was generally clean and comfortable. The aircon worked well, as did the electric blanket. Menulog was available in the town and found me without trouble. An older style motel well maintained.

While I didn’t have an issue as I like them it is close to trains but the noise was not loud. My only real issue was the shower stall which could do with more careful cleaning especially around the edges which are discoloured.

Room was clean and being able to drive up is super convenient. Staff is great.

There was no one at reception when I arrived (within advertised opening hours) and I had to wait about ten minutes with a other guest. A note with a phone number was left but this isn't helpful without acess to a phone. The WiFi did not work (multiple guests complained about this; it was not just an issue on my end).

the room was large and spacious, clean linen amd towels comfy mattress large tv and nice chairs and table great location with 5minutes walk to shops

it was a bit of a worry having a permanent window open which was just to the right of your fron door and therefore close to your neighbour, also when you lay down in bed and put overhead lights on u had fluro light tubs shinning in your eyes , but apart from that it was good ,cheap and clean ,we just needed an overnight stay on the way to our holiday destination

Desk Clerk was polite, the room met all my requirements. Clean and comfortable, well appointed. Effective window blinds for privacy, good products in bathroom and hospitality areas. No intrusive traffic noise - peaceful.

Entry and exit access, manageable, but both awkward due to roadway configurations.

Although an older style motel it was scrupulously clean & bed was comfortable. Our overnight stay was to attend a funeral & the location was close to the funeral home. Towels were fairly new & very white. Shampoo, conditioner & shaving gel supplied. Staff were friendly.

It could probably do with being updated but it wasn’t shabby.
