Lovely guest house situated in town beach area close to several restaurants. A beautiful tropical garden and lovely pool area with a bird aviary set amongst the garden. Hosts Marilyn and Leeanne were so lovely, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms beautifully appointed, felt luxurious, and plenty of space. Breakfasts were cooked by Marilyn and different choices every day. Leeanne serviced our room daily and went above and beyond.

Mosquitoes had arrived but the local store had us covered! Recommend packing insect repellent.

I loved staying at McAlpine House. Nice quiet area, beautiful gardens and wonderful staff. I could not make breakfast for most of my stay as I had early morning tours booked. Staff made sure breakfast was left in my fridge, my room was always tidied, bed made and fan on when I returned after a long day and this was always very much appreciated.

The outside lights were welcome when you returned in the night but they impacted on the room I stayed in making it quite bright at night. Perhaps you can look at sensor lights as an alternative? This was my only issue and on the whole a very minor issue

Charming old house converted into a lovely boutique hotel. It's set in a lush garden. My room was a Garden Suite, which was very spacious, clean and well furnished. The room contained a fridge, tv, safe and tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel also has a pool. The personnel were friendly and very helpful, including providing detailed information of the town's attractions, restaurants etc Breakfast is served in a dining room containing a communal dining table, allowing guests to mix if they so wish. Individual tables are also available. A cooked breakfast is served. A lovely, homely place for a quiet, relaxed stay. Highly recommended.

We loved our time here. We weren't sure what to expect but we loved everything about the place. It's not new or grand but it was super comfy and the location was great. The bed was big and perfect for sleeping and we loved the extra big pillows. A nice bathroom with a good shower and a separate toilet. Two basins and everything we needed was provided. We really enjoyed the pool and the location was great as it was really close to three very good restaurants and an easy walk to the supermarket and a couple of shopping centres. The breakfast was excellent and we were really impressed with the staff. Ronaldo and Leanne were so kind and attentive - even providing us with a delicious takeaway breakfast for our 6am departure. Broome is not cheap and so this was actually good value. It was also lovely and quiet. Always a plus!

Can't really think of anything. Didn't love the sliding door on the toilet but it wasn't terrible.

Marilynne made the most breakfast. Every day something different. She is a great chef and presents the food beautifully. The pool was refreshing and very clean. The hosts make you feel home, always there for a nice chat. When one guest didn't feel well, Marilynne looked after him. I also loved the old original building. The bathroom was brand new with wonderful italien tiles. Towels, bedlinen, everything so nice, clean and welcoming to feel home. I loved it there. It is very close to town, but because it was so hot I was happy driving around in my car. You can park your car on the property.

The whole house is historically preserved and so pleasant to be in. The breakfast was delicious (I am vegan so extra hard to cater for) and the staff were efficient, kind and thoughtful. The rooms were beautiful and had special touches such as a USB charging station on top of the bedside tables (don't have to scramble behind the bed to find a plug). The fridge was well stocked, the pool refreshing. There is a communal table for breakfast but there are separate tables if you don't want to engage with others. Beautiful aviary and lush foliage. I highly recommend. M

Staying at Pinctada McAlpine House is like staying with family - who like you! The accommodation is really well thought out and very comfortable. Plenty of space, a very well planned bathroom. Very comfortable beds. Breakfast is served when you are ready at a beautifully set shared table. The pool and gardens are serene.

I loved the house itself, its architectural style and it’s history as a Pearling Master Tallboy. There were places besides the pool area to sit in comfort in the shade in the garden. I also loved that it was a B&B. It was an opportunity to meet and chat with other travellers. The bathroom had been recently tastefully renovated. The room had a fresh and clean feel to it. Marilyn and Leanne were exceptional hosts.

Everything met our expectations.
