It's great the place has restaurant on the ground floor-if you're tired when you arrive you can have dinnee right there (I recommend the three schnitzel dish for the exceptionally hungry). Room was spacious and bathroom beautiful and very clean.

Check-in was not smooth: although we arrived around 3pm both the door to restaurant and the hotel was closed so we had to call and wait for someone to come to give us the key.

- nice quiet location (but nothing really interesting in walking distance) - spacious room with TV, kettle (but no cups, tea or coffee), Wifi - the hotel is a bit outdated, but it is clean and has a good atmosphere - really good pizza for fair price

The owner and the staff were very kind and welcome. They make us feel very comfortable. The food was great. Great taste and big portion on very good price. They gave us welcome drink and Christmas cookies at the end of the dinner. We were given free room upgrade (I've booked twin room and the owner offer us double room because he saw we are couple). We added breakfast to our accommodation and breakfast was great too. View is amazing and it is very quiet. The restaurant is huge so it's perfect for big group of friends or corporative party. The design of the whole hotel is very authentic for the area.

It was a nice place near some natural sights (Salzburg and Hallstatt really close by car). The staff was friendly and the restaurant in the building was pretty good. And of course the price for these regions is really good. The room number is already old, but really cozy and clean.

That hotel doesn't provide soap, shower gel or anything else.If you are planning to stay here, you need to know about this, because the closest open supermarket may be on a long distance.

A mountain chalet style hotel that was very comfortable and met all our needs. The host/manager was very welcoming both before (giving us directions for public transport) and during our short stay. Food was good and scenery is spectacular. Possible to get there by train and 470 bus from Salzburg in 60 minutes. We'd definitely recommend it.

Perhaps some tea/coffee/cups in the rooms?

Clean accommodation, but a little worn out. Breakfast was minimal. We each took one boiled egg and a sausage....the next guests had nothing left to eat... It's a good thing we came first! There were no more guests...

Very friendly staff! The possibility of quite a late check-in basically saved us from sleeping in the car after our original accomodation didn't work out - this is very convenient (and not common in the area). Cute place, good value for money, not very far from Gosauseen and Hallstatt. Will definitely consider to stay here again if we travel by in the future.

The host was pretty good. We had to heat some of our food in the evening and the host was kind enough to do it for us.Overall a good stay .The restaurant attached to the stay is also a relief since it is difficult to find other restaurants closeby.

Could've been a bit more careful in cleaning the room. We found an underwear in one room behind the closet . May be it is still lying there :) .

The location is incredible. They offered us a better room than we had booked and also breakfast, which was very good. The staff was very kind and helpful. We were very happy with our choice.

The door handle of our bedroom was broken and it was a little more difficul to get out.

This is a very nice hotel. Spacious clean room with balcony. Comfortable bed. Good base if you are wanting to ride or drive the Grossglockner. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open on a Monday but your not far from Abtenau.
